Brothers Campfire Face Mask Tutorial

Now we will sew right along the edge of where we just ironed. . Then we will fold the fabric in half, right sides facing each other wrong side out. Sew along the raw edge creating a tube. Flip it inside out. Now all the seam should be on the inside and it should be the right side of the fabric facing out.

You should see that your tube should be almost the exact same size as your large rectangle piece. You are going to place this smaller casing on the underside of your square. Align the two pieces so that they are flush with one another. Now, we are going to sew along the exact same seam that we did before. It’s called “stitch in a ditch.” This will help reinforce your pleats. Also, add your casing to your face mask.

Your casing should now be attached to your rectangular mouthpiece. Now we need to add a piece that will help this stay on our face. Some people use elastic or headbands Well, these are all great, but we will use a t shirt.

The method I’m going to show you will help ensure that it will fit almost any face. You can get a t shirt t

at the dollar store or you might just have one in your drawer that you don’t care about, or had considered cropping for fashion sake anyway.

Cut a strip about 1 and a half inches wide off the bottom. Then cut just one side to make one long strip. Then get a safety pin or you can even just use your hands and put your strip through your mask casing.

After this process There you have it a completed mask! It is reversible. You can wear either way, and can be used for many different teenager to adult size faces. If you want this mask to fit a child or a baby you might have to alter the pattern to make the original rectangle smaller, and do less pleats.

Here is the end result. You put the top portion around your head and then tie the back to bottom pieces to secure a good fit. I hope this post inspires you or helps you and your effort to help protect yourself and others from the Corona virus.
