Brothers Campfire Emojis, The unspoken words.

Hello Friends!

Welcome to Brother’s Campfire!🀠πŸ”₯

I am learning a lot by ✍ writing and πŸ“š reading everyday. The amazing Pooja Rani who represents herself asπŸ™‹showed me the value of emoji communication when there is a language barrier. Rani drew the world famous πŸ˜ƒ smiling campfire for me by the way! Thank you!

I did not realize that there is a library of sorts to utilize emojis as a language.

I also found someone fluent in emojo on YT. Here is the link

I discovered the impπŸ‘Ώ …. Importance of appropriately using emojis yesterday when I stated “😑” to the Great Lydia Potter recently. I had no idea it represents cursing to those that speak this language fluently. I am sorry, little sister.

My πŸ‘΅ grandmother on my dad’s side of the πŸ‘ͺ family spoke in emoπŸ˜”…. Emoji when she wrote us letters. She did not always have the words so she drew pictures in the sentences. When I find one, I will up☝ … Update this πŸ“« post.

Thanks for understanding as I embark on this journey to understand emoπŸ˜”…. Emojis better.

Emojis are honestly so powerful! Even between speakers of the same language, emojis can help to show emotion and convey a particular tone when chatting. Great post πŸ™‚

  2. herbthiel says:

Wow. Well, I guess it is a sign of the times. Are emojis the hieroglyphics of our day and age?

          1. Lydia Potter says:

It’s careless and drives me nuts when people say it.
Just don’t write a post about it.
I was going to just tell you something, but I forgot.

I really enjoyed reading your post. I found it interesting. It’s strange because I am an artist but I don’t relate to emojis… I feel like I don’t really understand them and that they might not really capture what I want to say. But it is true that using them, once you know their meaning, is a bit like shorthand. Can be useful. When I communicate with my kids in emojis they seem to think i am being glib or offhand. Yet they can add another interesting layer to communication.

Hello, Friend! Welcome to the Campfire!🀠πŸ”₯! I am learning about the emoji realm very slowly.
I do most of my blogging from an Android phone and did not know some people copy and paste emojis from a website that defines them. They are readily available on my keyboard.
Therefore, I did not know some had specific meaning, like 😑 being a cursing emoji.

It is a pleasure to have you over for a visit today! I look forward to hearing from you in the future!

      1. moragnoffke says:

Yeah I understand… I didn’t know that you could copy and paste emojis on the computer either. I learnt something thereπŸ‘ŒπŸ‘

        1. The Storyteller says:

I read there is another way but it was too complicated! I read you have daughters abroad. Where are you located in general terms?

          1. moragnoffke says:

It’s autumn /fall now…. Still warm days and cold evenings and early mornings

          2. moragnoffke says:

South Africa is quite big so some parts get snow but mostly in the mountain ranges. So I will see the snow capped mountains from time to time, but mostly just feel the cold air that comes with it. We have winter rainfall in Cape Town but other parts of the country have summer rains with thunderstorms. Cape Town is described as having a Mediterranean climate. Maybe that’s too much detail πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

          3. The Storyteller says:

That is what I was asking about! Awesome Detail!

We get moderate temperature at the base of the Colorado Rockies. Many times of the year, the mountains have snow on them. Where I live can be described as semi arid desert.

          4. moragnoffke says:

That is so interesting… Parts of South Africa are also semi arid. What latitude are you at?

          5. moragnoffke says:

Oh yeah. I must say that I am quite bad with knowing where the different states are in America. I will look it up on Google maps πŸ˜πŸ‘

          6. moragnoffke says:

I just had a look on the map… I have never really looked at that part of America.

    1. The Storyteller says:

You have shown me that I have a lot to learn about them. I am pleased to have met you. I see you are reading along in the Bible with us! 🀠πŸ”₯

Oh the whole thing is a minefield – I don’t even know which heart colour I’m supposed to send so usually just send the red one πŸ€™

I get it! Somebody has to milk the πŸ„ cows! That is what youbsaid at the end, right? I hope so. This is what happens when we were born in the last century!

          1. athousandbitsofpaper says:

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ no! I was trying to do the you know cool surfer hang ten, filthy, rad thing – but yes! Someone has to milk the cows. That’s hilarious. Love it. Born in the 70’s and now have to put my glasses on to read emojis (and everything else) aaaaaasnd tip toe through the mind field of undercurrent meanings that I had no idea about. Good luck with your study into emojis think I’ll stick to words ✌️😜

          2. The Storyteller says:

I will predominantly utilize words! By the way, I did understand what you were saying, i just thought it would be funny! Have a beautiful day!

          3. athousandbitsofpaper says:

A sense of humour is the biggest tool in the tool box – I don’t know what people lacking one do – probably stare at the chucklers and shake their heads πŸ˜€

  4. herbthiel says:

Okay, on the phone if you have g-board, which is a google keyboard app, I always install it as the default, you should have a little smiley face icon. When you press it you get a veritable plethora of emojis. In Windows 10 you can use the on-screen keyboard and insert emojis from thereπŸ˜‰Now what they all mean is where emojipedia might be handy.πŸ€”

    1. The Storyteller says:

So, I have an option on the Android, bit here is the risky business. I may want to say I love chocolate ice cream outside the cone, but unless you jave the definition βœ‹ handy, it cound be misinterpreted.πŸ¦πŸ’©

So much of communication is non verbal hey. Emoji’s sure can help when there is a language barrier

      1. mayetsworld says:

I’m from Johannesburg, South Africa (also called “Jozi” by locals). I’m new your blog and I’ve been enjoying the content. Where are you from bud?

          1. mayetsworld says:

Thank for the warm welcome. It’s been great sitting around the campfire, taking in the stories & meeting new people. It’s pretty Cozy. Definitely one of the more unique blogs – I can safely say that no other blog I follow has the same style and/or format. Best of luck to you with your future posts (not that you need it) and I look forward to more content. βœŒπŸ™‚ Take care bud

I love using emojis! I don’t always know what they mean, though, lol! I have a good friend that he and I like to goof off and have what we call “Emoji Wars” where we just keep putting up emojis until one of us gets tired and calls defeat or can’t think of one that will beat the other emoji put up, lol!

          1. Ishaan Sharma says:

Lol no I tried asking using emoji how you were. So i was asking if you were replying to that.

            My world was amazing!
            What about yours?

          2. Ishaan Sharma says:

            So I believe you left?
Hope the court declares you innocent soon.
            Oh wait, you meant work?
            Haha. Just kidding.
            Have a nice day!

Your post sort of makes the importance of emojis clear. But as a writer, I don’t really relate to them and find them annoying at times. πŸ˜‚
But it is good to know that they can be used as a common language for communication.

    1. The Storyteller says:

I do not prefer them as evidenced by my accidental misuse of one recently. You are a top notch writer that I, for one take very seriously. Your command of language is excellent.

      1. A.S. says:

I am sure I also misuse them a lot! You are very kind, sir! Thank you for your supportive words, they help a lot. πŸ€—πŸ™πŸ’•
