Hello, Benjamin from Brothers Campfire here.
I posted this on Reddit and discovered it is a wolf spider.
This little dude was only 3/4 inch around, but caused quite a stir due to lack of perspective.
Spooky to some, but helpful to me. These guys can eat a lot of insects. I wonder if they think. There seems to be so much intelligence in those eyes.
No warmth though. I am not sure that hugging would be the best option.
I will look for warmth at church. This week we have a special speaker and I will be attending several nights this week.
First time seeing wolf Spider 😯👍🏻thank you so much for sharing 🌷🙏♥️🌷
The first time I saw one of these I was freaked out. We have a lot of scorpions
They look ugly, but they have a good roll to play in the garden.
Wolf spiders are prominent in my area. I’m fine with them as long, as they stay outside. Although, the size of the one in your photograph would have sent me running far far away. Haha!
Ha ha! Spiders do need to stay outdoors. This one was 3/4 inch all around .
We have wolf spiders over here in Nor Cal 😝
I want nothing to do with wolf spiders, black widows and brown recluse spider 🕷 – nope – no thank you from me! I have all those in my area 😝😝😝
I miss the small tiny little insects they had in Massachusetts – the nice quiet little normal house spider
Not bugs on steroids and all HUGE!
Wolf spiders do get pretty big!
Yes they do 😳😳😳
Totally makes you appreciate the tiny little house spider or daddy long legs lol
yikes….we have them here, as well.
A jolly juicy spider! 😄
But not as juicy as Australian spiders I would wager!
Yours is pretty on the top of the list 🤠
Awww hell no ! I’d be flailing about, running, screaming and probably pisding myself if I ran into that. 😬😳
I tend to keep sliders alive in my house for same reason.
I pretty much leave them alone.
