Wiry, Crafty, Industrious Creativity At Brothers Campfire

Hello! Benjamin from Brother’s Campfire here! Arts and crafts abound here as Christmas approaches. Here are some festive things we have been working on!

We have been crafty with all the resources at our disposal. It beats watching the television in mindlessness.

Sometimes, our idle time is not mindless, but mischievous. A twelve year veteran of life and I used our collective creative to make transform arts and crafts into darts and traps.

Dollar Store Skewers, and a bit of paper

The darts were a lot of fun, and I am not too shabby in manufacturing them, but we had other concerns.

You see, lawn gnomes have been planning a hostile takover of Willow Manor Urban Garden for a long time so we relocate them as we find appropriate.

From locally available products, we devised a humane method of capture.

Sometimes, getting outside is the best place to go after being Covid cooped in the cramped confines of your cabin, and darkness was not to far away as the winter days are short.

Traps set and cramped as we were, the twelve year veteran of life and I formally decided to try our hand against the wild outdoor expanses and we had an excellent experience.

We struck out into the wild unknown and found our own Utah Monolith. It was slightly smaller, and we left it where it lay.

After finding a pace that I could keep up with, we jogged far afield and found turkey feathers and lots of tracks.

During our forest forays, sometimes we find some really neat things. For instance, this wire. I actually did not know what to do with it, but the 12 year veteran did.

The little man set out to make a gnome deterrent with the wire.

The warrior possessed a fully functional sword, bow staff , and q-tip projectiles.

Hopefully, with this fellow on patrol, we can turn the tide of the backyard conflict.

That’s really cool! We make lots of diy props for LARP, but unfortunately that’s not an activity for this year

You can check out my boyfriend’s shop if you google Zurbag Approved, he has some stuff there. Otherwise there are some of our photos on the LARP Slovenija page, but mostly on Facebook. There’s also lots of DIY foam prop tutorials on YouTube, from basic to super advanced. You can make a lot for cheap and it’s fun

Was it a turkey? There is no custom to eat in Japan, but it looks delicious. I hope you will have the opportunity to join us. First of all, the coronavirus is over!

A turkey is like a very large chicken and they are quite tasty.

I would love to join you in Japan when I get the opportunity! The coronavirus is still here where I live.

          Have a beautiful day!
