Location: La Longi, The Puking Peasant Inn, The Docks
It was a wretched night. The patrons were awful and Violet’s fake persona did not produce much in the way of tips. She thought hateful and angry thoughts as she wiped down the tables and swept the floor. “Men are such pigs,” she declared when taking out the buckets of miscellaneous refuse.
She hated her job.
She hated her life. A drunken man was sitting on the cart where she dumped her burden.
He was original. “Hey beautiful, I love you, where have you been all my life?”
She was disgusted. Every night, every sorry night, the same routine. Her response was classy but not repeatable for some ears.
Violet finished her shift. She would go for a walk as was her routine. It made her forget and it made her remember.
Near the dock was Lord Rainport and the King’s Alchemist.
She froze. He had embarrassed her so badly by calling her a hag and having her escorted out of his castle in the middle of her performance.
That day was the beginning of a lot of sorrow and regret.
They spoke in hushed tones.
“Lord Rainport, there is another dimension I have discovered. We will replicate my creation and it will come to life. Together, we will build an army that can overthrow the king! “
Repeat with me the incantation.”
Lord Rainport was pleased and steepled his fingers. “Yes, but of course. With your skill in alchemy and my military prowess, we will rule La Longi!”
Minions gathered around from seemingly out of nowhere.
Together they chanted,
բենջամին
Բենջամին, գրիր հրեշների մասին
Violet recoiled in fear and gasped. Lord Rainport and the Alchemist spun around.
She ran like she had never ran before. The Alchemist shouted! Catch her, minions!
Violet was too fast and nimble. Years of dancing had made her strong, fast, and graceful. She shuddered at the thought of what would happen if she were captured by them.
She had to report this to Watchman Wayne. He would know what to do.
“Forget her!” Shouted Lord Rainport. “Why did you bring me here?”
The Alchemist smiled. ” climb into this boat with me.” They climbed a rope ladder and were on the deck. He lit a torch.
The Alchemist motioned. ” this way.”
As they descended a growl could be heard. A room with reinforced oak door at the center of the ship was the source of the noise.
“what is causing that sound?”
The Alchemist slid a panel open and lifted the torch.
A large creature lunged at the door causing both men to jump back. The oak door was the only thing that saved them.
Lord Rainport was euphoric. “It is just what we need!
Where can we get more of them and how do we get them to do our bidding?”
“Leave that, Lord Rainport to me!”
Uh-oh.
This is an exciting chapter!
I am hoping all goes well for Violet!
