Hello friends! I have a friend who has joined the Brother’s Campfire team!

Let’s give a round of applause to Maripat, our new editor!

Although an accountant by trade, Maripat is a grammarian at heart.  The importance of proper grammar was beaten into her at a young age by the nuns who educated her.  She is an avid reader and makes it a point to learn one new word every day.  Maripat is adamant that the Oxford comma is not optional and she believes that the apostrophe is the most misunderstood of all of the punctuation marks.

    Welcome Maripat! I have learned to begrudgingly accept the Oxford Comma after it proved to be worth $5 million.
