Brothers Campfire Keeping Busy At Willow Manor.

Hello! Benjamin From Brother’s Campfire Here!

COVID is making it tough to post every day like I used to, but I am focusing hard on doing so.

I think consistency is important, but some days there is little to say because I am getting up, taking the kids to school, going to work and going to bed.

Fortunately, we had a break in routine and did some fun things. It is Fall, so we began the process of raking. I may go back to using Marty the Motivated Mower with a bag attachment instead.

Next, we had an old leather couch we were getting rid of. I removed the filler and broke it down with a sledgehammer. Here is what is left.

So far as we know, my Beloved was ok with this destructive choice. And by the way, my she got a new one, don’t worry.

Well, new to us.

We also got a new addition to our home. Today, we are now the owners of a piano!

I asked a young lady to ensure that it was in tune. She played, You Are Holy Lord and you can listen to it here if you wish.

I am grateful that we were blessed with this instrument. It brings joy to the living room.

We had joy in the kitchen as well. A 12 year veteran of life convinced me to go to the store and aquire ingredients for apple fritters. We were not disappointed.

Things have been going well, all things considered. Recently, I had one of my original readers reached out and say hello. That made my week. Thanks! I did not know you still followed all this!

Enough about me. What do you have going on right now?

Let me know in the comments below!

Beautiful piano! And the playing was beautiful as well. Very cool, even if no one gave me any apple fritters.

Finally looked up where Oceania was. Typically, I hear it as the South Pacific, Down Under, Australia, Fiji, New Zealand etc…

Going back to a previous conversation, are you sure there are no mermaid villages there?

            Whoo! You got it! 😅

There surely ARE mermaid villages! I visit my mermaid friends frequently! 😆

          2. Benjamin says:

Way cool. The bigfoot over here are standoffish and elusive. Lucky you.🤠🔥

          3. Jasmine Rose says:

Poor you! 😆 I guess Bigfoots aren’t as Harry and the Hendersons portrayed… 🥺 💔

          4. Benjamin says:

I don’t know how much of Brother’s Campfire you have read. The Beast in my first story was patterned a little after a bigfoot typology.

          5. Jasmine Rose says:

I read everything you publish but i have only been following you for a little while. 😁
Oooh, that sounds absolutely, very interesting! 😄

          6. Benjamin says:

Well, my first go at storytelling was a little choppy. When I told my dad about wanting to write about a Bard, Beast, and Brother, he set me up with a website template and titled me The Storyteller and called himself The Reader. It was kind of like…. Whoa, better start typing and live up to the title!

          7. Jasmine Rose says:

Your dad sounds awesome! Well, that is great you can see your improvement and realise where you were “choppy”. Mastering the skill of storytelling is a long journey. You have most certainly lived up to your title! I thoroughly enjoy your stories! 😁

          8. Benjamin says:

Why thank you. I think you know him. Does Herb Thiel ring a bell?

Thank you for the compliment, Jasmine Rose. Next month, I look forward to your Brother’s Campfire post!

          9. Jasmine Rose says:

            You are welcome!
Yes, I do know him 😁
Thank you! I look forward to being featured on your blog! I am trying to come up with a good story idea…💡

Any type of story or lifestyle post is good. Backlinks to your site are excellent as well. I would recommend an introduction to the audience to bring traffic. 🤠🔥

So great to have a piano! I remember when my mother baught a piano for the home, I was 10 years old. I learned to play on it and still have it, 47 years later.
It is spring here and the air is filled with the scent of flowers. Days grow longer earlier so I too follow that circadian rhythm… I am in the garden a lot now. Enjoy whatever life sends your way.

Hello Mora Gnoffke! We started off with a keyboard, and had a tuned piano gifted to us. A young lady we are fond of plays it well.

I think I follow the seasons a little. It is time to put the garden to bed here.

Yes, I agree, whatever life sends your way! I did not think I would be a urban farming, storytelling correctional supervisor bit it works!

Friend. I hope your day is beautiful!

I love the piano and that couch is beautiful. I agree with you, with this COVID-19, things are way different and at times difficult. Here in New Zealand too, we are not fully recovered from covid.

My life has become a game of finding the good in a seemingly unending, and escalating, series of bad things. But I have, and that’s a great sign that I am at least temporarily not in severe depression.

I feel like people are posting less and less because there is no little difference from day to day. I now always think it’s Saturday when I wake up, every singke day, and have to figure out the correct day… though I’m not sure why I care!

I’ve been debating trying to make apple head dolls. Well actually, just apple heads.

    Fritters sound amazing!

Leanda, nice to hear from you. Apple head dolls sound like a very neat project. (I had to look up what they were.)

Things are kind of a blur, aren’t they? Perhaps it is a fog of war sort of feeling.

Personally, I have been putting a lot of focus on things that are bigger than me, like church and family. That seems to help me focus correctly.

The fritters were yummy, and the Campfire was a little big. Hope your day is wonderful!

We all have to take the small pleasures where we can get them these days. Settling into a dull sameness here right now, as winter tries to sink her hooks into us. It is birthday season for us, soon followed by Christmas. The best gift we could get this Christmas would be hope of a vaccine. Stay safe, stay well and stay blogging. Allan

Thanks for sharing your perspective, Allen. The dark gloominess of winter needs a gift of healing by miracle, medical, or both. Have a great day, Friend!

It’s really good to have a piano at home. I don’t know how to play but I like it. I have a very little knowledge about music But I love songs ( hindi, English, many indian languages, Chinese and Japanese too) and I can easily memorize the lyrics (even in those languages I don’t understand.)😁😁

Mumma scolds me for it too. ( This girl, you can memorize songs do you memorize your syllabus as well😤😤) but I can’t do anything in it. I am like my father. 😜😜

      1. Loveblossom says:

Come on brother Ben atleast you don’t scold me😩. This poor little kid is already getting scolded by mumma for this. 🙍🙍😞

I do memorize my syllabus. But it’s not fun to study all day. Attending lectures and making notes at the time is enough to memorize it and it’s fun too. 😁😁✌️✌️

No, it makes me feel that you are my real elder brother. Scolding me for studying.☺️☺️

time to sleep. It’s already very late. Good night.
No, have a good day ♥️🌺🤠

Awesome piano, I wish I could play! There’s not much going on here, we’re in lockdown again, I got my nose violated with a coronavirus test swab, which luckily came back negative, but I’m still sick at the moment. Makes it hard to get any new blog posts out haha

Petra, I have my nose violated weekly working in a prison. I get it. She has had a keyboard for several years. The upgrade was a nice change.

Perhaps you can blog about Erratic Hat. I would read!

Oh I don’t envy you! I’ve had two of these tests by now and they’re really not the best thing. I do have tons of blogging ideas, I’m just super tired all the time. Life will get better though!

I am also slightly saddened by the lack of fritters going around. I think I will manage to go on. The piano is very beautiful and the musician was amazing as always. Visiting God’s garden and the laundromat are eventful days. Although the most eventful part is getting a car jump because the belt isn’t charging the car. Beyond grateful for big sisters who love their siblings dearly.

I agree! We had a full size keyboard that many hundreds of hours of music were played on. It justified the upgrade. besides, it was free! Were you able to listen on the link?
