Brothers Campfire Hiking! Ride In My Shirt Pocket!

Hello Friends!

I am currently hiking from Pueblo Colorado to Colorado Springs! Let’s see how far I can get! Message me in the comments and I will give you my coordinates on Google Maps!

Colorado and Alaska running legend Shawn Erchinger caught wind of my distance attempt and dropped by with some cool items to take with me on the way!  It is always cool when a local celebrity steps down to help us little fellas!

I have to keep that pace all day, 😆. I am taking a lengthy break and eating an apple right now. There are coyotes 100 yards off yapping. Pretty cool!

Coyotes! Awesome! They’re not going to become a danger, are they?

It appears you have done 27.8 miles to the point you last sent. Where is the end goal? You’re almost in Fountain city limits.

By my figuring you should be pretty close to the target. Er, Walmart. Please let us know when you hit the end of your journey.

Will do. I believe my body is primarily burning fat. I do not function well that way. I am going to use All Trails calculation of 35. It accounts for a lot of things with distance.

Well, when I did walking directions on Google Maps it came out to 35.2 miles. To the middle of the store, lol.

Dairy Queen is a hop, skip and a jump from Walmart so that is/was close enough. You did it!!! Huge congrats!!! 👏👏👏👏🥳🥳. Hopefully, you are resting now.

I can imagine. Epsom salt will help over the next few days.

cool! I’ve wanted to hike the Appalachian Trail all the way through for a couple of years…tales a lot more prep though.

          2. Benjamin says:

It probably would! I have children and a house payment or I would be all for it!

          3. hcmorris77 says:

I might try and do it, not sure, but before I get too old to be able to. Maybe I can set the goal for 45…two years. Don’t know if I could do the whole thing though as it takes a couple of months.

          4. Benjamin says:

Way nifty! The longest wilderness hike for me was Four Pass Loop. We were unable to complete it due to the numerous avalanches from the prior winter and the excessive snow buildup.
Still, we hiked the area for four days living out of our bear can!

I an excited for your plans. I hope in everything that you follow through and do it. That would be the best!

If I do, gotta start working on it now as I am not getting any younger!

I looked at the link. Oh boy, you have got to do this for all of us that can’t!

Due to Covid, I am working a lot of hours. I try to get outside as often as possible.
