Grandmother’s Funeral Brothers Campfire

Hello friends,

Saturday began with a hearty breakfast. I stacked the frozen blueberries in my cream cheese bagels. Thank you, Beloved.

I needed it to get me through the day.

The funeral brought bittersweet closure.

We sang old hymns from the songbook and there was a beautiful slideshow.

When the preacher came to speak, It was brought to memory what my Grandmother’s last words were.

“I love you.”

Looking back, it indeed was her last words.

She died as she lived, strong in spirit and full of God’s love.

The service closed with a parting song,

Sometimes we laugh together

Sometimes we cry

Sometimes we share together

Heartaches and sighs

Sometimes we dream together

Of how it will be

When we all get to heaven

God’s family

Serving as a pallbearer, I gave my final goodbye. I will see her again on the other side, but it was hard.

This is my last photo with my grandmother.

Today would have been her 90th birthday party and we elected to have a get together in her honor.

God’s Children Have Peace In Distressing Times.

The tables were decorated with her teapot collection.

Songs were sung and we had a beautiful luncheon.

I will miss you Grandmother. Your hugs were the best.

She was full to the brim with personality! That was a small portion of her collection. She was big on drinking tea! Thank you for stopping by!

The picture is the last I had with her. February 6th, she gave me a very long hug. It was the last one, and I somehow knew it. Indeed, it is hard. Thank you for your loving support, Lia!
