Brothers Campfire asks.. Do Ducks Like Coffee?

Hello friends!

Artist’s Depiction of Benjamin The Storyteller Eating Ice Cream

I began today with an epic breakfast yet again! Nothing like Penzeys Spice French Toast Bake to get you started in the morning! Thanks Beloved!

Lunch was pretty good as well. Leftover hotwings from the freezer, a salad, mashed potatoes and a hot dog. Score!!!

I have been well fed and my morale is soaring! Me and my Beloved went shopping and we picked up some grass seed. Today was a big day for the birds. I also purchased a swimming pool for them!

They had a lot of anxiety about it at first, and they plotted my demise as most birds do when you change things.

You can just feel the hate through the picture. Delilah knows what is coming though.

It did not take long for them to get over it as evidenced by this short video.

I was not through with surprising my little treasures. Waterfowl are omnivorous.

I will let you figure this one out for yourself.

The day progressed and the reason you clicked this post is to find out about ducks in relation to coffee.

So, I drink coffee like water and I know that ducks drink water like water, but I wanted to know if ducks like coffee. There was only one way to find out.

I brewed up some of the black gold and brought them a cup.

It appears one of the males loves it. What do you think? Let me know in the comments!

    Love the duck coffee vid!
Cats are supposed to be repelled by green apple but one of mine happily licks the juice off them (and most other fruit… she really enjoys melons).

    1. Benjamin says:

I am glad to here about the cat! I am glad you liked the video as well!

  2. Lucy says:

He looks like he’s really enjoying it! Perhaps a little too much, perhaps. Hahaha.

    1. Benjamin says:

I think so as well! I will need to make sure and limit his supply!

Wow nice. Looks like lots of fun for them. I’ve adopted a twin kitten. They are adorable but it’s a mission to make our pet dog like them😁

  4. Herb says:

If he overdoes it you can always put it on his bill.

      1. Herb says:

Instead of a Disco Duck you might wind up with a hyper duck.

          1. Herb says:

Now, we’ll wait and see what his response will be.

*evil laugh* yes! I think he was so shocked when he read it that he didn’t reply.

In my opinion, since she has done it herself I think she has earned “Double-Dog-Dare” rights, beside bragging rights.

          4. Lydia Potter says:

            DOUBLE DOG DARE YOU!!!
The kids at my work always said that to me. I still don’t know what it means.

Yes, it does look that way! The day was good–thanks for asking. Sermon-writing day, which is always kind of a mental wrestling match, but satisfying at the end of it.

          1. Jennwith2ns says:

Yes–praying and thinking and reading and bouncing thoughts and interpretations off my husband…and also getting distracted and stuff. heh

  5. Herb says:

Definitely keep the intro! BTW, I heard your baby sister dare you.

  6. Ishaan Sharma says:

    Amazing!
Try milk next time, I want to know if they drink milk.
Legend has it that they love it, but no one seems to have tried giving them milk.

    1. Benjamin says:

Absolutely! Ishaan wants me to try milk with this precision methodology.

    1. Benjamin says:

He doesn’t say a whole lot. I bet he has notebooks in his nest!

      1. Kritika says:

haha hopefully he would be a reader too. Do watch out for your library. 🙂

    1. Benjamin says:

Thanks! You as well, Friend! Don’t be a stranger to the Campfire!
