Brother’s Campfire -An Ongoing Tale Chapter 159

A Heron man lay on his back, blood coming from his nose.
Brother told him not to take the pottery. The Heron did not take him seriously.

Tha Man With the Pottery Wheel was grave, but said nothing.

The silence magnified the depth of what had just occurred.

Emerson Berengar, Thane of Northwich, known simply as Brother had hit the man with the palm of his hand right above the teeth and sent him sprawling.

The pottery lay broken nearby.

Commander Nicholas of the 16 spoke.

Nicholas

“The Heron will retaliate for this.”

Brother’s eyes were cold. “The Heron warriors respect strength. They saw it today.”

He looked down at the warrior. “Or rather, they will soon.”

He turned to Nicholas.

“double the patrols and inform the town that there may be trouble.”

Brother looked where the warrior had fallen. He was gone.
