Brothers Campfire Confession

I am so sorry.

Hello Friends. I will begin by saying that I would feel terrible for hiding something I did this morning from you. We have the fondest of memories together and I have let you, my readers, down. I am hoping if I act quickly, I can salvage my relationship with many of you.

I started this morning off right by reading my Bible first thing and brewing a pot of coffee, dark and bitter.

Then a she vixen awoke and bade me partake in a forbidden fruit and I did partake.

On April 17th, 2020 at approximately 0645 hours MST, I, Benjamin, the Storyteller did drink coffee with creamer.

The evidence of my wrongdoing.

I did sip and enjoy this pleasure of mocha for a season. Then I was filled with deep regret. I asked the she vixen why she gave me such a drink and she said a twin tailed mermaid, or siren decieved her.

I take full accountability for this breach of trust. I made a poor choice and I regret it. I cannot even look myself in the eye. I was not decieved. I am sorry, and hope we can work something out to regain your trust. I have rinsed my cup many times, but the stain of creamer abides in the cup.

I failed.

It is my intention, moving forward to always bring black coffee, dark and bitter

Even my cup is disdainful of me.

            Hmm, you’re right!
            It needs to be harder.
What do you think of not giving him any supper?

Thank you for your forgiveness. I will refrain from engaging in such a vile act! (For me. If you use creamer, it is ok.)

Coffee is a very particular thing and one must be true to themselves when enjoying 😊. For me, half and half and a touch of sugar makes it just right. Super Saturday!

The fact that you mentioned/insinuated Starbucks and coffee in the same sentence is a bigger crime than drinking coffee with creamer 😂. (Yes, I’m a European coffee snob)

Oh no, you asked and now I have to say cappuccino 😂 but I usually make Turkish at home, no sugar and a bit of milk. I dislike Starbucks though, because everything there tastes sweet and processed somehow, I like my coffee sugar-free.

I have creative containers that have always been there and all of them haven’t been impacted much at all by the stay-at-home orders.

Thank you for asking. What about yourself?

          2. Benjamin says:

I am at an essential job so I am putting in lots of hours. I garden and work outside on my days off.

Yours is a gentle reminder, among others, to realize we are not exclusively our role in society. Finding joy in connected to everyone in the world in different ways is important, like your gardening ☺️

for the record I cannot drink coffee black so I am not outraged like you. But it is a humorous post. And we need more humor in these times. For your own sake keep all dairy products a safe distance from your hands when you make your coffee. That’s right socially distance your food stuffs. Cheers.
