Yard Work Around Brothers Campfire

Hello, Benjamin from Brother’s Campfire here!

Today, I cleaned up the yard putting the mower low, mulching and bagging the dead grass, leaves, and sticks from the trees.

It all goes in the compost pile or the Campfire and is used in the garden.

I don’t use a lot of fertilizer unless it is on sale or free so it is important to repurpose all the trace minerals, nutrients, etc.

One thing I do do 💩 is spread corn, cornmeal, and oats around the yard for critters to eat. The peices missed by birds gets weathered and eaten by creatures like earthworms that are beneficial for the soil.

This creates nifty little soil ecosystems that are within my level of comprehension, but beyond accurate expression on my part.

It is late afternoon and Isabel, my Beloved has spent the day cooking, playing games with her mother, taking a shower, and listening to an audiobook about a soldier that was seriously injured and the long road to recovery. Another sister of mine, Marissa, has come over to do her hair for church tonight. Marrisa is a fine addition to my family and the Campfire. She has all the perks and permissions of being my little sister like looking through the fridge or dropping by at any time.

The Church organized a few dinners for us and we got a huge spread composed of spaghetti, salad, French bread and cheesecake. It was enough for two large families.

I appreciate our church. If you want, you can listen live here. It only plays when there is service.

I wod like to give a shout out to Matt Snyder and Ashley T. for speaking around the Campfire while I sat back and drank coffee, hot, dark and bitter the way I like it.

Appreciate the shout out Ben…I will contribute again eventually. Nice to see all the love for my night of torture put to paper. I have never gotten 100 likes on a post until this opportunity came up. 👍
