Brothers Campfire Tired Toiling Tumultuous

Hello Friends!

As we have a safer at home type of restriction in the Land of the Free, and the Home of the Brave, playgrounds are pretty much out of the question to use at the parks.

I grow tired of the lock down and yearn for independence. The desire to be free is strong within me. “Give me liberty or give me death” Is attributed to our forefathers.

Playing safe is important. Following local laws and spiritual authority is reasonable, and appropriate in my case however. That does not mean I have lost my desire to break these chains of corona bondage.

I was inspired by Lady Liberty today in her quote,

“Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.

Therefore, I put the work in where I could. I went outside with a young man who I am proud to have as a son, and we liberated the tired, the wretched refuse, while avoiding the playground. Over and over. Because America!

Please join me for an 18 second video where we liberate the tired.

And Uncle Sam put your name at the top of his list, and the statue of liberty started shakin’ her fist, and it’s gonna be hell, when you hear mother freedom start ringing her bells, and it feels like the whole wide world is raining down on you. Brought to you courtesy, of the red, white and blue.

That’s nice. now I got the red white and blue. Never noticed America had it too.
            Was it borrowed from france

I think the American flag is actually older than the French flag. The American flag may have inspired the French flag, as the French revolutionaries who adopted the flag were heavily influenced by the American revolution which had happened just a few years before. But that seems to be somewhat up in the air.

            Hmm…
            I forgot about that.
I feel the french empire made a mistake by assisting USA become a democratic nation.

They should have seen a french revolution coming.

But well, its good it all happened. The world is a better place.

Oh and in case you thought something else, I said what I said because I thought your reply “Guys and Girls of America” was the reply to my question of who is the allegory.
But I see you were replying to dumbest.
But anyway, I am sorry 🙂

You are all good friend! You are a permanent fixture of the Campfire and you are inquisitive of American culture.
            I appreciate it!
America is a melting pot of cultures and sometimes it is difficult to sum up America one way.

What is the Indian Allegory? If you look at the comments, you will see a few suggestions as answers to your question. No one said there is not one.

The indian allegory is Bhārat Mātā. Bhārat means India and Mātā means mother. So it means mother India. (Ā means long a)

            I will check the comments.

Here’s what wikipedia says: too many allegories.

Uncle Sam (government personification), Lady Liberty, Columbia, Johnny Rebel (The South, obsolete), Billy Yank (The North, obsolete), Brother Jonathan (New England, obsolete)

            Thanks.

What’s yank? I hear it is a derogatory term for an amerucan soldier? Why then is it so popular in america?

You came awful close if you didn’t. I didn’t look it up either. I just happened to be reading Charlie Daniels blog, called Soap Box and they were talking about this being the 40th anniversary of the song, In America. “…We’ll all stick together, and you can take that to the bank. That’s the cowboys and the hippies and the rebels and the yanks!…”
