Brothers Campfire Random Words, Cobbled with Coffee

Ahh, Coffee, dark and bitter as Little Charmers poetry, ugly as bile, and looking back with evil eyes, daring me to take a sip….

That is what mornings are for.

Hello, Benjamin from Brother’s Campfire here!

This is my first cup of coffee after surgery. It rumbles in the bowels, mingling with loose gall, a thick green and black cesspool.

It is good coffee, worthy of song.

Today, I will have to take it easy. It seems my Beloved and others just told me that a couple of days ago and I blogged about it.

Now I have to.

I have no direction for this post so ramble I will.

I read this Scripture today and it struck me.

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
1 Peter 3:15 KJV

As I look at the direction my family is growing, my supportive church family, new job situation, and all the things God has blessed me with, there is most assuredly a blessed hope in Christ. I am thankful to have read this.

If you are in need of a Bible study, let me know. I am more than happy to introduce you to hope.

In other news,

Today, It is my intention to water my animals and the garden. I may get a sprinkler attachment as well. I also am going to purchase a shaving razor. Kind of a slow day, but oh well.

Slow days are few and far between, they are are a joy to be savored. However so often we are so driven we mourn them instead of treasuring them.

Glad the surgery went well Benjamin, I pray you will have a quick recovery. But take it slow, sometimes slow days can be a real blessing if we just take some time to enjoy them. Lots of beauty to behold outside. Great scripture verse! God bless!😀😺🌞And enjoy a smile as wide as a country sunrise!

Will do Steve! I appreciate your kind words and I spending time sitting outside enjoying my back yard. I have this desire to get lit and work and it is hard not to.

    Was your gallbladder removed orthoscopically??

Surgeons used my gastric surgery scars as their entry points, so I didn’t get new scars.

Yep, orthoscopic. Yay!! Far easier recovery!!

As a heads up only: one of my scar spots, the highest one, frequently feels like I’m being stabbed from the inside. I had it checked and there’s nothing there. Everything else is un-noticeable… even the scars (and I scar easily) ars barely visible.

Good to know as well. I am not worried as much about cosmetic scarring as I am about scarring that impedes mobility.

My stabby spot doesn’t limit anything… just takes me by surprise.
