Pulling Out All The Stops

Hello, Benjamin from Brother’s Campfire here!

Blogging has given me the distinct opportunity to meet creative and intelligent beings with decisively more brainpower than myself. For instance, I met Bharath from https://ridiculousbharath.wordpress.com/ and I am outclassed. This man scored 155 plus comments by asking a simple question.

I had my thoughts on the matter. You should go over there and give your answer as well.

We hit it off from there. I commented that he looked like Clark Kent also known as Superman and this is what he had to say.

Now, when I was a young man of 11 or so I read Jonah Hex Issue #39 and I must say I was flattered. I remember this little gem from 26 years ago. Apparently he has been remade several times since this 1980 issue.

I looked the feller up on Wikipedia and he had a harder life than Ashton in my story to be sure!

Well, Bharath, check this out. You may be right.

Here is me.

And here is Jonah Hex.

Wait, I may have got that confused. I should have labeled my photos better.

One thing I must remind folks is that you treat every gun as if it is loaded, even if it is a toy.

Flattered I was, and I decided to pull out the stops with my new inspiration. I work hard, inspired by my new found friend.

After all these attempts to pull out all of the stops, I was unsuccessful and after looking for a tutorial online, I found that pulling out the stops had something to do with pipe organs. As far as I know, it is as simple as manipulating the knobs on the sides of the key board. I suppose I should have Googled it first.

Well, anyway…this is my shoutout to my new found friend, Bharath at https://ridiculousbharath.wordpress.com/

    1. Ha ha! Maybe I am Jonah Hex!
Me? I am pulling out the stops! It is an American play on words.

Sorry for tue late reply Clark Kent,
This got spammed by the Evil Lex Luthor

  1. Looks pretty cool. I will follow him a while and see. Jonah Hex‽ I remember when he came out. Carter and I used to wait every month to see what was going to happen next. I don’t recall him having any super powers other than superior fighting and marksman skills.

  2. I love that it took a min for me to figure out the stop sign pics! I wish I could post my old 1970s pic of a friend doing ‘flag pose’ on a stop sign!!

Most excellent post!! (I have no idea why I’ve started commenting like Bill & Ted, I have not watched the new movie)

  3. My son loves the Jonah Hex movie…this is the summary of the movie: “Having cheated death, gunslinger and bounty hunter Jonah Hex (Josh Brolin) has one foot in the natural world and one in the supernatural. His unusual nature gives him the ability to track down anyone or anything, so the Army makes him an irresistible offer: It will erase the warrants on his head if he will find Quentin Turnbull (John Malkovich). Turnbull, his oldest enemy, is preparing to unleash hell on Earth and will stop at nothing to kill him.”
I think he owns a couple of the graphic novels…
love the pulling out the stops photos 🙂

    1. So, in the original, I don’t think he had these superpowers, but I think he cheated death a time or two. The movie is something I have not seen as I do not own a Television or watch media.

It looks like my friend paid me a compliment!

Ha ha! I am glad you liked the pulling of the stops!🤠🔥

      1. I haven’t read any of the books myself…the movie is kinda done up like an old western.
        Love play on words!
Hope you have a great day! 😊
