Brothers Campfire One Bad Mother Ducky

The Brown Duck With The Brown Dog

She will never go to bed on the first drive and she challenges the dog EVERY day. You can see the crazy in her eye.

I was committed to finding what was left of her and continued looking. She in the raspberries along the Brown Dog fenceline gaurding these.

13 eggs, as warm as a duck bottom were bringing out the mom in her.

The instinct to protect the young is strong and I respect the spirit of a mother. She was willing to risk it all alone to set unfertilized eggs. I guarantee that if the Brown Dog had not dug under the fence for her, the raccons would have had a feast.

Kudos, Brown Duck.

There are all kinds of stories demonstrating this spirit. While I do not recommend this, I recently read about a seventeen-year-old girl who Confronted A Bear To Protect Her Dogs.

It is amazing what ends people and creatures will go to to protect thier own. This one brought me to tears. Mother Shields Baby From Hail.

What is your protecive mother story? I would like to know in the comments below.

Yes, I admire your duck so much. I agree, this was a heartwarming post that touched me deeply. I will not give up on my girls although they are adults with their own children. I believe they will come “home!” Thank you!
