Nose Runs and Feet that Smell

Hello, Benjamin from Brothers Campfire here!

Friday, after teaching PE, working, and live streaming on my way home, my daughter and I went shopping at the 1.25 store, Walmart, and Hobby Lobby. I was exhausted.

An introvert, Monday through Friday was a blur of pro-social extrovert nonsense. I am a checklist guy, and thrive at getting measurable things done.

We can hash the thought out in the comments. There are lots of angles…

Saturday, I slept in until 0645 hours and watered the ducks. Then, My Beloved and I went to Lowes, Walmart, a German deli, a garden center, and Subway.

Returning home, I planted 8 succulents, 6 raspberries, 2 tarragon, 2 tall grasses, and a grapevine.

I also hung 3 suet bird feeders, a hummingbird feeder, and mucked a duck pond.

As we are cutting down on grass and watering less, I hauled no fewer than 10 wheelbarrows of mulch to the sides of the front yard.

Then, I spread last year’s compost over the garden area, planted squash, and hauled out Watchman Wayne, the Gaurd of the Garden.

I had a host of other things to do, but my father-in-law grabbed me by the collar and said I had done enough work for the day. We hopped in his truck and he bought me a hamburger at Red Robin. I selected Campfire Sauce for the fries.

On my return, we changed a headlight bulb for a car.

Restless, I went out and talked to our neighbors, one of them being Justin, the Man’s Man. We discussed a system of using duck water for gardens in adjacent houses near mine. He is resourceful like that, and offersed to give fresh water in return.

Now, If you are interested in meeting the manliest of men, and you think you would like to date a legendary gardener, carpenter, cook, and an overall man of culture, I will screen your resume and cover letter.

After all the fun, my nose began to run.

Allergies? Who knows? Nose blows.

I must say, I am quite tired. Have a beautiful day!

I got a lot done. I suppose there is always more to be done. I had a great time hanging out with my father in law.

Gahhhh!!! I went to the dollar store and actually put away the stuff that I bought. That’s it. And WAY more than I’ve done on the last couple months of Saturdays!

You are very productive. Give yourself a pat on the back and get some rest.
