Brothers Campfire on Manors, Waterbound Weeds and An Advocate.

Hello, Benjamin from Brother’s Campfire here

Despite losing a few ducks to a racoon, things are going well enough here at Willow Manor, home of Brother’s Campfire. We prayed our prayers, said goodbye and laid some traps.

I have my birds safely housed at night and they have resumed eating and laying eggs again.

Anxiety kills production.

I have opened up the pond I was preparing for them and they seem to like it. The cattails will not last long as Trumpet my goose loves them. I am glad a waterbound weed is being put to use and I can always get more.

While I have manufactured a safe and relaxing environment and made it a lot tougher on the raccoons, I harbor anxiety for their safety.

They seem carefree and happy as the memory fades in the little ducky brains.

Trumpet remembers. I remember and am committed to never letting it happen again.

My Reoccurring Nightmare

These little friends came in a box from hundreds of miles away and have been nurtured for a year. The raccoon came by and only ate the head and neck. They are soulless wretches that seem to get away with everything consequence free.

I imagine parenting and leadership are similar in this respect. There are some that harass our children and attack our coworkers and there seems to be no remedy.

It is great when power is leveraged to create a safe place for others to thrive and that is what I am advocating for today.

We can also remember we do have a Remedy and an Advocate in Jesus. He sees the end from the beginning.

    Amen on The Remedy!

I am so happy He provided a solution to protect the remaining ducks. They are fortunate to have you and Trumpet protecting them.

Your words are so positive. It’s truly up to the ones who can to make things easier for the ones who can’t. Power should result in safety and well-being. Great post, Benjamin. 🙂

By the way, I seem to be having an issue with notifications. WordPress says I’m following your blog, but I never seem to get the emails for new posts like I used to. Any idea why that is?

My email sender is broken at the moment. The notification part has always been a problem for me as I am self hosted. We are working on it.

      Sorry Petra.
