Homespun, Coffee, and Donuts

We attend a married couple class about once a month called “homespun”.

We have found it beneficial for parenting and for our marriage and it will be hosted at 2950 Monica Drive West, 80916 this Sunday morning at 10.

Among the reasons I bring this up is that they offer coffee and donuts…each and every time. While this seems advantageous, it is an enormous temptation during my 10-week weight loss competition. This being said, I opted to complete a 9-mile hike with a 20-pound weighted vest to set myself up for additional calorie deficit should I stray from the Straight and Narrow and flounder in sugary goodness. You are welcome to stop by and join if you meet the married criteria.   Attached is a photo of me in the world renowned “Gopnik Squat.”

Today, I had a baked potato and was glad for it. I will be eating shepherds pie tonight.

Are you coveted in sawdust in that pic?

You look good… healthy… mentally strong.

The coffee would tempt me but not the donuts. I don’t like donuts.

Ahhh… I don’t know the last time I saw snow falling, let alone wet snow!

Yes, Southern California. I can see snow capped moutains but haven’t been there since… geez… my teens??? (I’m 60)

I’ll just have to wait for your share on the experience – I don’t drive 2 hours round trip for coffee and donuts NOR am I married/qualify to attend, even if I wanted to – so – well – you posted, thus, at some point, somehow, someway, I’ll either give up ever knowing how it all went, or tire of waiting for the update – but it’s really okay –

Do you know how many posts i’ve published in the past 10-16 years that said, “oh, remind me, someday, to tell ya about the story of the time…” LOL

I tell stories all the durn time – all are true – but the names, dates and details are often blurred to protect the innocent and the guilty, and well – it is still MY story of what happened, but sometimes, not my story to share, in full details – ya know?

Great job with the weightloss, it shows in your face. Coffee and doughnuts wouldn’t tempt me. My husband would love doughnuts and coffee. Now, if it was cake….. Sounds like a great class,

It is a great class for sure! Pie would be the ultimate temptation for me though.

Coffee and donuts? That’s a perfect combination! If it’s Dunkin’ Donuts, I’d like Choco Butternut. If it’s Krispy Kreme, the Original Glazed. Both with brewed coffee. Ugh, now I’m craving! ☕🍩
