Folgers, Dark, Bitter

Hello, Benjamin from Brothers Campfire here!

Today, it was hard to wake up. I slammed some Folgers, dark and bitter and went off to work. I had four visitors on my ride and it made my morning.

My Drive To Work

Face masks mandates have been lifted at my job and I had a few important meetings to go to.

I was true to my word and pulled a prank by wearing four face masks to a meeting. No one seemed to notice or care.

I will say, I had to breathe really shallow and not move very much to pull it off.

When it was my turn to speak, I was seeing spots like I was hyperventilating.

Slowly, and meticulously, I removed the masks one by one and began to speak.

Everyone was laughing! That is, except some in my leadership who may have been wondering what I would do next!

That was a lot of fun. The day was long, but I managed to get by. I like my job and feel productive.

My Beloved encouraged me to stop at Penrose, Colorado for an overpriced Monster drink and I did. The gas was not cheap either.

I hit record and live-streamed. For a while, these will only be available to those cool enough to stop and warm up at Brothers Campfire.

The Drive Back

If you subscribe and turn on notifications, you will be able to catch me doing all kinds of unscripted nonsense.

On my arrival at home, my son had made hamburgers. There was leftover cheesecake.

I was so hungry, I forgot to take a picture. He was thoughtful and gave me his slice of cheesecake. I tried hard to turn him down, but he insisted.

I wonder where that young man got his stubborn nature.

Nature is where I feel most at home. My suet boxes were empty, so I went out and filled them. I topped off the duck ponds as well. The one pictured below is cordoned off and is as clean as it will be all year.

I was out of birdseed so Walmart beckoned.

I deal in seeds by the Kilo

I like birds, and my new ducklings will need practice diving. A few feeder goldfish and a centipede photo later, it was homeward bound for me.

A hurry up and wait kind of person, frustration has hit me. There is a duck house that needs building.

Scanning around, I looked for supplies.

It was time to get working and I built a few walls. Then, I screwed myself and called it a day.

Well, I am tired, and I plan on rising early. See you tomorrow?

That is so awesome that you are so encouraging of your wife’s progress. I am always so happy to hear about her progress. You seem more relaxed on camera now. That hand injury looks painful. Make sure you are up today on tetanus.

My comments would have been better earlier but I am not quick on the draw at typing fast. 🙂 I don’t know about geese but we have hordes of Canada geese. They can be pretty mean if we get too close. The sound was noisy toward the end of the live stream but it seems fine on replay. Not sure what that was all about. Thumbs up.

I hope you get some amazing shots of cardinals. I have a true love of birdwatching and I love seeing people’s birds in other regions!

Oh, I am not sure I have seen one around here. I get, sparrows, finches, doves, starlings, crows, flickers, downy woodpeckers, several varieties of hawk, and I have a goose and 9 ducks.

I am not a good bird photographer. Do you have any beginner tips? 🤠🔥☕

Ps. Thanks for stopping by and subscribing!
