Brothers Campfire Sees Bigfoot?

Hello Friends!

I used to be very interested in the North American tales of Bigfoot. I read literally hundreds of accounts of encounters from a single source, the Bigfoot Researchers Organization.

I have several books on the subject and even planned to schedule the 800 dollar BFRO outing when they came somewhere near Colorado around 15 years ago or so. Unfortunately, I would have needed to drive to a secret location after the fee and provide for my own shelter, food, and equipment. Being newlywed at the time, I was unfortunately unable to attend the prestigious Bigfoot search.

I do believe that like the mammoth, a species like the Gigantopithecus blacki may have existed more recently than thought and passed into legend.

In my ongoing story about the Land of La Longi, I speak about a Beast named Jeptha Berengar. He is called a yenaldooshi by the Heron and a bigfoot by the Ruetoohto. He is neither. He is a diseased man bitten by a horrible creature at a young age. He is a man with an unfortunate condition.

Jeptha Berengar, The Beast

When I made him a character in the story, I did not think for a second about the legends and storys about this elusive cryptozoology. While this had nothing to do with where I am going, I wanted to share, so there.

While skeptical of a giant primate in North America,I will throw a bone as to bigfoot’s existence without the books or BFRO.

Before I was a Correctional Professional, I stocked magazines for a while and made aquaintance with a Safeway employee who identified as a Flathead Indian from Idaho. He told me that he hunted and fished with his grandfather on a regular basis. He recalled as a child seeing sasquatch families on a regular basis. He told me he never shot one because he was told their family would be vengful and could kill you before you could get away safely.

Don’t even think about it.

As much as I wanted to believe the man, I was skeptical. He informed me that he could care less what I thought.

Days passed and I asked him again about it.

He was offended by our prior conversation and asked me if I had seen a mountain lion in the wild before. I told him that while I had not seen one, I tracked one in the snow and got so close it snarled but I could not see where it was.

He stated simply, “I don’t believe you” and pulled out a road map from a shelf. On it, he pointed these locations out and I noted them. He said, If you ever want to see sasquatch, these are the places to look.

Whether there be a squatch in these woods or no will be for you to decide.

One thing is certain now.

I had a paranormal experience yesterday.

While talking with a friend, a creature got out of a vehicle and handed a package to a neighbor. I have the footage and made vocalizations that the creature responded to. Was it a bigfoot? You tell me.

I did not. It is a 10 plus hour drive and as far as I know, on an Indian reservation. One does not simply go where they please on a res.

That is correct. Long ago, “agreements” were made to give Native Americans land.

I suppose you could. It is like going on someone’s property without permission.

            Hmm…
            Can the natives come out?
When I searched ‘indian reservation’ on net, it said they were built to keep natives far from settlements.

          3. Benjamin says:

That was long ago. Native Americans come and go as they please.

          4. Ishaan Sharma says:

            Agreed.
When you say Indian Reservation, first thing coming to my mind is the reservation system in India in jobs and education

          5. Benjamin says:

They are barely coming up! I will post about my garden as things come up!

          6. dumbestblogger says:

Apparently when Columbus landed in Cuba he thought he was in India? Hence all indigenous groups are now Indians. Or something like that.

          7. dumbestblogger says:

If you really want to get into the weeds, it’s possible that Amerigo Vespucci, for whom America is named, never came here at all.

          8. dumbestblogger says:

Not a bad idea. Garrsion Keillor suggested it be called Erica, after Eric the Red of course.

          9. Ishaan Sharma says:

I know that. But I don’t know if his compass worked. Or if he ever looked where the sun was rising from. Or where the pole star was…
Neither did his crew I believe…

Why would he travel west if he wanted to go to India?

          10. dumbestblogger says:

Because he miscalculated the size of the Earth, and thought that going west would be a short cut.

          11. Ishaan Sharma says:

            Hmm…
But why would they want a sea route? They already had the Silk Route. I wonder how sea is safer, considering storms, and pirates near coasts.

          12. Benjamin says:

He was turned down by a few countries for being financed. He was a maniac in my opinion.

          13. Ishaan Sharma says:

            Hmm…
I don’t know enough to call him a maniac. But he didn’t realise that he hadn’t landed in the land known as ‘golden bird'(india was called that because it had a GDP greater than whole europe in that era) but in a land without much cultivation, army etc.

          14. Benjamin says:

He did abusive things and he was not right in the head in my opinion.

          15. Ishaan Sharma says:

Did the native americans have an army or something? How was america so easily colonised? Or was it not?

          16. Benjamin says:

The Natives faught amongst themselves very likely. There was no central American government or army.

          17. dumbestblogger says:

He was following on the heels of Prince Henry the Navigator, from Portugal, who had found that sailing ships around the horn of Africa was an economical way to do business with China and India.

          18. Ishaan Sharma says:

But the sea route to India was discovered by Vasco Da Gama. He came after columbus’ attempt. Never heard of Prince Henry

          19. dumbestblogger says:

My bad, I got a little mixed up. Been a while since I studied this history. I think Henry started off the idea of looking for the sea route. Why the sea? Probably the same reason people invented airplanes. Why walk when you can fly?

          20. Ishaan Sharma says:

Well, it makes sense since southern india was a favourite trade destination. Crossing through the mountain passed would be tough. So Sea is better.

          21. Ishaan Sharma says:

            Nice article.
Why is he so famous? Didn’t Amerigo Vespucci come before him to America?

    1. Benjamin says:

Quite possibly. The Colorado Department of Motor Vehicles must recognize their status as well.

I checked the coordinates on google map. Is it a coincidence that there is an area named ‘Big Hand’ a little north?

Not much to it. They have not been trapped by Fish and Wildlife anywhere. Some of these guys are really good and can tag a wolverine. Those little guys are elusive!

          1. Ishaan Sharma says:

Do you believe the man wjo gave you coordinates?

Oh and also, did you really go tracking a lion?

          2. Benjamin says:

I do not know. At the time, he seemed very credible when he showed me a map of where to go.

As for the mountain lion, when I was younger, I stupidly followed one that was carrying a bloody piece of meat in the snow. The tracks and blood were easy to follow.

It is a good way to get dead. Don’t try it!

          3. Ishaan Sharma says:

            Hmm… interesting…

Haha! I just found out mountain lions are not lions. I was surprised when you said you got so close and it simply snarled.
I read in the news about an american who was attacked by a mountain lion and he killed the lion…

So do Mountain Lions attack people?

          4. Benjamin says:

Puma concolor, the largest of the small cat species.

            Mass: Male: 120 – 220 lbs (Adult), Female: 64 – 140 lbs (Adult)

Length: Male: 7.9 ft. (Adult), Female: 6.7 ft. (Adult)

It is not a normal thing for a man to kill a mountain lion with his hands . That guy did.

          5. Ishaan Sharma says:

I believe he was from Colorado too?

            I don’t understand lbs.

But if I think about it, in a fight for survival, I would expect a human to be quite a match for a cougar.
Afterall, our genes are closest to gorrilas 😉

          6. Benjamin says:

Gorillas have completely different muscles. I do believe the human spirit goes a long way in a fight though! We have a lot of brainpower as well!

          7. Ishaan Sharma says:

That was what I was thinking. Though I didn’t see the result of the play because the video doesn’t load

          8. Benjamin says:

Oh, she beats the animal off. People meat smells funny to them.

          9. Ishaan Sharma says:

😃Tigers are the national animals of India. We have many tigers. The world’s largest tiger is the bengal tiger, found in India.

          10. Ishaan Sharma says:

I haven’t heard of any such incident lately. Yes, when in colonial era british cut hundreds of thousands of trees, the tigers became man eaters. But now it is rare.

          11. Ishaan Sharma says:

Now incase that isn’t obvious, you can’t go into the tiger’s terriotory and expect to return unscathed…

          12. Ishaan Sharma says:

Unless you count captive tigers. US has more captive tigers than total world population of free tigers

          13. Ishaan Sharma says:

            Sure does.
I have never seen a tiger in the wild though 😥. I did see the tail of the tiger hiding behind bushes.

          14. Benjamin says:

Scary! We see bears on occasion. I think I am more concerned about cats most of the time.

          15. Ishaan Sharma says:

I saw a bear in the wild once. As for cats, I see street cats everyday (yes, cats, cows and dogs roam on streets in India), and have seen lions, tigers, and leopards in the wild.
But I am far from forests and there is no chance of animals coming in the city.

          16. Ishaan Sharma says:

Oh and also, you must have seen the tiger on the packet of Bengal tea you shared a pic of. That kind of makes it clear. 😃

          1. Benjamin says:

Wait…. I turned my phone on and recorded the instance. I added music to it. What is fake? Did I really not record it?

          1. rue202 says:

I loved the bigfoot costume the guy wore! I’ve seen other people dress up as Darth Vadar and that just to take out their bins!!!

          2. Benjamin says:

Ha ha! I dress up as Brother from Brother’s Campfire on occasion.

        1. Benjamin says:

They were from my neighbors work apparently. We totally had thier back untill we were sure, however. Brotjers can be protective!
