Cutting a Forklift Tine

Hello, Benjamin from Brothers Campfire here!

The other day, I picked up a free forklift tine to make an anvil. It took numerous attempts, and forever to cut it, but the cutting is done.

I have already dabbled with mini propane forges, so I am well on my way to make a few knives and axe heads.

First, I want to make a set of tongs. It is among the first things you should make as a beginner smith. I made a pair a while back and they broke immediately upon use, so that doesn’t count. I will retry.

I named my Anvil “Ted”. A guy named Ted gave it to me.

Well, that is all for now. Have a beautiful day!

You would have made an incredible pioneer way back in the day!! Very impressive 👏🙌

And naming it Ted reminds me of that song “I wanna be a cowboy” lol

“My name is Ted, and one day I’ll be dead – yo yo yo”

    Do you remember that song?
