Brother’s Campfire Event

Hello, Benjamin from Brother’s Campfire here!

It has been a little while since I wrote as the days have been jam packed from sunrise to sunset and knowing where to begin is tough this beautiful Saturday morning. I will say this was something different to wake up to recently.

As sweet as my 16-year-old daughter is, she has a mischievous streak that brings a lot of laughter.

Being together as a family is important and we have get-togethers as often as possible. On Tuesday, a relative came for a visit from far away and a whole bunch of people showed up for the latest one. The Twelve Year Veteran Of Life was quite helpful in assisting in preparation for the event and rebuilt a pallet for use as a bench while my Beloved sewed a cushion for it.

I had to quickly figure out what to do with a truckload of lawn clippings that was dropped off and smelled like…. like rotten grass clippings.

I figured it out and was able to reduce the smell of the compostable material by mixing it with wood chips.

Despite a party, I never turn down compost. Making dirt is important for an urban farmer. Thankfully, my guests didn’t seem to mind the murky haze that engulfed them.

The event was a hit including a Campfire, lots of food, homemade zipline, airsoft wars, giant bubbles, sprinkler running,

and some good old guitar strumming.

Well, off to some new adventures!

Is that an assault rifle burning away in your campfire?…..

You should not be encouraging your toilet to smoke. Shame…..
