Brothers Campfire Drives, Walks, And Ducks

Hello, Benjamin from Brothers Campfire here!

My father in law is a one cool dude. This morning he made us a breakfast consisting of eggs, bacon and bagels.

Bubbles, our mini Australian Shepherd benefited as well. He poured partially cooled bacon grease all over her dog food.

After breakfast, I chatted it up with my Beloved and the inlaws, drinking coffee, dark a , nd bitter as Jeptha the Beast, someone I might write about soon.

I enjoy coffee, and caffeine to some extent, but my he,art goes out to the family of the man who recently died drinking the equivalent of 200 cups of coffee. You can read about it here.

After engaging in pro social behavior, I went on to working, something I am good at.

With spring on the way, I have baby ducks and geese on order and I needed to turn this pre-leveled and pre-moistened area into a duck pond. I got to digging.

After a while of working, my daughter wanted to go for a drive, so I let her take me to pick up feed at Big R.

I am accustomed to high-stress environments, but teaching a young lady to drive will make me lose hair.

On our return, my Beloved wanted to go for walk. She walked half a mile and has been averaging 11 minute quarter miles.

Last time I posted, it took her 22 minutes per quarter-mile and that was as far as she could go.

After I got home, I finished up the pond. I got the underlayment from the trash and the rocks from a nearby field. Soon, it will be a muddy mess.

I dug a small trench to divert the mucky water to my garden area. It works pretty well. I will have to avoid letting it near leafy greens or someone could get sick.

Well, that is all for now. I am heading off to prayer at Heritage Pentecostal Church in Colorado Springs.

They will be having services tomorrow and you are invited to listen live at

What a lovely day. I love hearing about Isabel’s progress. She is a strong woman. Our Golden Stella loves bacon grease and plastic which she steals.
