Brothers Campfire A Buzz of Activities

Hello, Benjamin from Brothers Campfire here.

I thought I would have regret for yesterdays post about the cultural outlook of relationships through the lens of influential men, but I have none, but, that isnt to say I wont.

If a woman searches for a man solely to ride the coattails of the resources provided, there is a price tag attached and perhaps a return policy.

The Bible directs a man to love his wife as if she was a part of his body, and that isn’t exactly popular culture.

However, it is time to move on.

Today, I am hoping to pick up a free table saw with my friend Pierre. I will need to yet again rearrange the garage to make space for it. The table saw isnt the only thing abuzz; my little bee friends attacked me the other day and wow, they are little scrappers.

Other than the bee sting salute, things are slowing down outside and working in the garage seems a logical step for efficiency of self.

Well, time flies with candle burned at both ends. I will catch you all later!

Not my view. I know lots of men that look for arm candy to give some sort of elevated self-esteem or in-roads in society. It is a two way street my friend.

Do you feel a woman should ride on the coattail of a man for the sake of resources?

I think a partnership should be equal give and take, I have yet to find one that has a balance. If you mean, a person only interested in someone for their cash, No I don’t. I believe that is a very percentile of people. However, lot of powerful men and women with cash look for compliant partners that will follow their lead without argument. This leaves them vulnerable to the wishes and whims of their chosen partner. In the wild, animals, birds etc. seek out partners with biggest size, most colourful plumage, biggest territory, nicest nest… Humans are not alone in their desire to search for a mate with the best of what is avaible.

Well spoken on all accounts. Thank you for your heartfelt response.
In my post, On Older Women, I present modern culture and attempt to demonstrate these shenanigans have been going on for a while. I do not approve of them.
While there are additional things I would like to say, I believe your comments more than sufficient and do not seek to diminish them.

I appreciate on both posts your display of authenticity, something I admire.

Thank you for your compliment. A good debate I’m always up for 😉👏.

I think very seriously we are on the same side of the debate, but I failed to articulate my thoughts appropriately. Nowhere do I disagree with your thought process.

I reread the post and hear that. Any time I read about the flaws of older women, I’m 55. Or a blanket statements of women always looking to ride the coat tails of a rich man. I take offense. I am and will never be forsale, nor am I saggy frumpy and old. I see just as many portly men as women.

Thanks for the post. Rooster and i have been married for 48 years. We have both worked hard to keep a roof over our heads and the family feed. I hope i am his arm candy. There was a time when he worked and i stayed home with the kids. We had five, so it was a better solution than daycare. You get out of a marriage what you put into it.
