Brothers Campfire Tribute To 50 Cent

Well, not Curtis James Jackson III, and not really 50 cents.

My day off began pretty relaxed. In fact, I did not even set my alarm clock and slept in until 7 AM. My birds were not thrilled about this and expressed thier discontent. I obediently catered to giving them fresh water and food.

A hot cup of coffee and an epic breakfast was really appreciated after doing my chores.

I moved on to “straightening” the garage. Yeah right. I did that and threw a few balls at a bat for a youngster.

It felt like this at least.

Pretty chill. Laid Back.

Lunch came.

Tasty!

I talked to our neighbor, Ozzy, who we affectionately call, “Brown Dog”. He is pretty scary when he barks, but we get along well.

With a full belly and a beautiful day, me and a resident expert proceeded to discuss the finer points of Minecraft while hanging out in the backyard.

If you play, message me and you can join our realm.

Anyway, I hear my Beloved’s car pull up as she had been shopping.

She hopped out of the car. “Benjamin, mulch is 55 cents a bag at Wal-Mart right now. You should pick some up.”

I knew this would change everything, but I was ok with it.

I have been told I am a beast when I get working.

I am Beast. I move mulch.

Now, when I got to Wal-Mart, I met the world renowned blogger, Herb Thiel. He told me his wife had sent him and he bought 30 bags.

Not to be outdone, I purchased 40. I didn’t ask Herb Thiel if he got a senior discount.

Now, a pile of mulch doesn’t do a lot of good sitting there so we got to work. I found some perfectly good rocks and dug my shovel in.

When I get working, I don’t have a lot of quit in me. I set my focus on the task and do it until it’s done. It started raining. I sang while I shoveled until lighting came from On High.

Then I just shoveled.

And shoveled.

Several hours passed and this is what it ended up looking like.

I sat and admired our work. We made good time. I was a little tired.

55 Cents. Curtis Jackson, you have big shoes to fill today.

I am glad you like it! I find that the rock gets super hot in the summer and very cold in the winter. The wood chips seem to regulate temperature and moisture better.

            That’s what I imagined.
Yes. Too many of them. But more often than not they are treated as pets. People give them food and they guard the place at night. If they don’t recognise the person they see, they might act aggressive.
The reason for theie high population is partially that few people take the Indian pariah as a pet. That is quite ironic, since it was the first dog breed to ever be domesticated. From what I hear, Its staus saw decline when the colonialists promoted the western breeds, and degraded the once popular breed to a street dweller.

Wow. Cool history lesson! It kinda looks like one after looking it up.

Yeah. Next time you meet him, ask him where he comes from. Perhaps he has an interesting ancestral lineage to talk about.

Senior discount ‽‽‽ Whippersnapper! We’ll see who’s senior. After my nap. Actually, you know, I am still new to this senior business and didn’t even think to ask. Thanks for helping me load up the car, too.

I saw a sign in a restaurant that said, “Don’t criticize our coffee. Someday you will be old and weak, too.”

Ohhhh… is that sale still going? I went to my first Walmart Supercenter last week and now understand why some people like it. I have to return something and exchanging it for mulch would be nice.

    Your mulched area looks great!!

I think the sale was local to get rid of old product. Thanks for the kind words!
