Unapologetic wrote a few lines about a Storyteller and a Beast. I thought I had better give a shout out. Thanks!
Now, the ongoing tale!
Turlough of the O’Hagans marched into Northwich singing as they came. His men were in high spirits.
Brother was excited to see them.
They were allies and veterans of the Battle of La Longi.
“Welcome to the Campfire, O’ Hagans, warm yourselves and have a cup of coffee.”
Turlough O’Hagan, their leader replied,
“We bring a little fire from the sun, lad.
Conquer or die!”
His men shouted, “O’Hagan!”
Brother smiled. “What brings you here today?”
“It is a celebration that brings me here. We have a gift, intuition or foresight you might call it about a Heron Tale.
It is you that invited me.”
Brother’s brow furrowed in confusion, “Hmm. I don’t recall any celebration or invitation, but…”
A voice spoke up.
“Oh, great delight! I have something special to show you all!”
Heads turned. It was Theodore the Chemist.
Turlough smiled. ” Ah, my friend, it was you that invited me. I haven’t seen you since you boiled all of our cabbage and made it change colors!”
Theodore was thoughtful. ” Ah yes.” “Today, I have a surprise for all to see.”
Chanting and the beat of drums could be heard from the west. It was the Heron, led by Ahusaka.
Ahusaka was pleased. ” Brother, I am told you have revealed the firestick.”
” Theodore is an inquisitive type. He may know about it.” Brother turned to Theodore. “What is your surprise?”
“Ah ha! I am so glad you asked! I listened to the Heron Tale time and again and I have brought something special.
Theodore took a clay pot from a bag. Turlough my friend! Will you and your men play a tune for us?
“Of course! We will play something from our homeland!”
Theodore looked around.
” You will all need to stand back.”
Taking an ember from the Campfire, he dropped it in the pot.
Ahusaka was stunned. “It is a sacred fire.”
“It was this that was in my vision.”
