Memorial Central, Colorado Springs own Jessi The Troll

Coffee.

Dark and bitter as You Little Charmer’s poetry. 🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️

It has been a long few days. My Beloved is in a limbo state where they are not sure if she is ready for new steps. It was suggested that I log her progress and that is a great idea. I will likely do it with offline photos.

When she is in Physical Therapy, I will find that more important.

Today, I brought my Beloved’s clothing in her backpacking pack. In the pack are the necessities a hospital typically does not provide.

I also brought it to her as a goal to work for. Fortunately, it was well received and not discouraging.

Enough stress cannot be placed on this: Go to the hospital with your loved ones and stay as much as possible. It is a business. Compassion fatigue in medical staff is real. While they are doing an excellent job, a more excellent level of care is provided when an advocate is available.

After we leave, I will write about Jessi, the evil troll who lives on the third floor. We must not rouse her at the moment.

She just wasn’t done talking with me, and she was sure to get the last word.

Jessi, the Troll, who lives on the third floor.

Moving right along, I would like to thank Guy Edmonds and the Correctional Peace Officer Foundation in their offer of financial assistance. At the moment, all is well, but you never know if things will change.

I am not keen on fundraising where it is not necessary.

When I worked at United Parcel Service , there was a man that we campaigned for financially due to an aggressive cancer.

After tens of thousands were raised, he confessed to the wrong person that he did not really have cancer.

He resigned from his job and we had to find a place to donate all the funds.

This is not to say I will refuse help. We are drowning immersed in child care, food, and phone calls and very grateful.

You’re very welcome, Ben. And I’m so glad of the possibility of PT. I’ve read your posts about your wife and how much you love her in the past and I think she’ll only take off when she starts PT! She’s a fighter!

You have a beautiful day too, brother! It only gets better from here!

Home comforts are important, along with time spent visiting as you say. Both can make all the difference.
Thinking of you all and sending good wishes my friend.

We know the vital importance of staying with a loved one at the hospital as much as possible. Compassion fatigue or whatever it’s called is real and attendants are more likely to attend when they know someone is watching. They are just human and can miss important things. I think logging is important, not necessarily here, or here in a condensed form, but it helps.

Thanks for the update. I agree 100% with your “got to the hospital and stay with loved ones” advice, so important for the patient to feel loved and supported. Sending lots of positive energy to you, hope it hits when you read this response. Take care.

I bet. Perhaps Julz, the Barber here in Widefield, Colorado can make it magnificent.

Lulu: “It’s very good that you can be with your wife at the hospital!”
Charlee: “Yes, when our Dada was in the ICU, our Mama or one of his cousins or some of their friends were there whenever visiting hours were open, and even sometimes when they weren’t. The nurses just let them stay in the room when the floor was supposed to be closed for shift change.”
Chaplin: “One of the nurses said that a lot of patients in the ICU don’t get any visitors at all so they were really happy to see it.”
