Thank you! Hopefully it is a first in a story! I do have a few references for my thought process on writing this though. Joseph Samuels and John Lee had unique examples of botched hanging. In my research I also took into account hangings where it took a long time to die. In examples of "drawing and quartering," almost being hung was a brutal reality where the worst was yet to come.
