Merry Christmas from Brother’s Campfire!

Hello,

Benjamin from Brother’s Campfire here!

Last night, my in-laws stopped by and brought gifts. I was pleasantly surprised to recieve beekeeping equipment to include a manual honey extractor, head protection, gloves, and a smoker. I have been collecting flower seeds and I recieved some rare varieties from them as well.

While an early riser, this will be the first Christmas where my children have slept in.

Most of the years they have woke me up, but never have they admired the inside of their eyelids on Christmas.

We will start the day by reading the Christmas story in the Bible, ensuring and celebrating that Jesus is the reason for the season in our lives.

My wife made cinnamon rolls for breakfast and they are still waiting to rise. We will have smoked turkey legs for dinner.

Typically, our traditional fare is frozen pizza and soda for easy cleanup, but Isabel has some festive catching up to do as the last one was in the hospital.

My neighbor made us honey cake, so we will enjoy that as well!

We will be making rounds and wishing everyone we can Merry Christmas in person.

I would like to wish you, my readers a wonderful day and a prosporous 2023!

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas! Sorry I am late posting in here. Like you all, yesterday was a whirlwind. I also cooked a big meal for the family as my daughter and granddaughter needed that time….made our rounds called my grandsons in California who needed that time….celebrated Jesus with precious church family with two new church members coming in after many years praying they would. Yes, last year, it a difficult one you all, so glad you all had a good day. Isabel is amazing, she has persevered and continues to bless everyone as she presses on despite….The Lord was lifted up the way He should have been with the Ben Thiel family and His light shone bright through this family. Thank you to every last one of you and know that you are a blessing to all! 🙌🙏😁🎄🎁

Hi~ Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, may 2023 save various folks from 2020-too! I have the email in my to-do list of books to purchase and where to mail them to – unfortunately, after I sent the email to you, and received your reply? My life changed drastically – on where I need to put the resources available to me, to meet ‘in your face’ needs! I figure, either you’ll understand or ya won’t – but, may you yours and your dreams bear fruit in 2023 – and if any of your ‘request list’ changes before I wade through to ‘get ‘er done’ – ? Ya got my email – change your mind – or say, “have a copy of this now, here’s the new addition to the book list’ I’m in search of, okie-dokie?

And sorry I let ya down in a timely fashion – but I’m offering less – overall, cuz my life changes in 2.5 seconds and sometimes? I cannot, do myself, by myself, all of it – except say, “You are not forgotten! But if the wish list changes, do me a favor and let me know…” Simply because – I’m a failing human on being 2.5 second response human bean – overall – I’m reconcilign myself to that reality – 😀 Take care and may 2023 bless you and yours –

All is well. I believe you are overthinking a donation to the incarcerated. I hope you and yours have a spectacular year!🤠🔥

Thank you! AND YES! I ALWAYS overthink things! Sadly, I’ve been to training, as a librarian, and I’ve listened to the differences of regulations/in-house procedures for what ‘is doable’ for Public Librarians, School Librarians and Prison/Detention Librarians – I CAN’T help myself! And – well – what helps? What works? What will make it through/be allowed to be used, on this front or that, by a minefield of options that I KNOW! I DON”T KNOW! But Thank you for responding and reminding me – “Sheesh! You are ONCE AGAIN! Overthinking it!”

Sigh – on some fronts? Folks LOVE my memory – of them, their stories, their life journey – – on other fronts? My MEMORY of and asking, “is this still true? is this still a challenge to be faced/overcome?” and I just come across as a ‘Negative Nancy” though I hate that phrase – simply because – Three of the finest librarians/mentors to me, were all named Nancy and they each, with their knowledge? In their sphere? INSPIRED me! 😀

<3 – Thanks – I don't think so, but sometimes? It's nice to hear from external sources when I'm surrounded with feedback that says so and struggling with arguing with me self on what the veracity of the feedback really is worth – 😀 Thank you!!! <3

Happy to hear you had a great Christmas! I traditionally make cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning! Just something about them on Christmas makes them taste extra good!
