In Persuit of Toast

Hello, Benjamin from Brothers Campfire here.

This morning consisted of coffee and thanking my supervisor for giving me the day off.

My supervisor is the best.

Although I don’t know who they are, they say you learn the most from people you do not like. Well, there is a willingness to slow down on the learning if I can have a supervisor like mine for a while.

Work is picking up. Most restrictions are lifted and volunteers want to come back to prison. It is my job to coordinate it all. I am excited!

We may bring a variation of Toastmasters to the incarcerated and I may participate. I do like carbs.

I sit here in the dark, sipping dark, imported nectar and wonder what I will do today.

The duck house is a quarter of the way done, but the building will be noisy so I have to wait for the sun to come up.

There are 9 little friends on the way and they need to be raised in a safe environment.

A sturdy house will reduce the chance of a raccoon or skunk stopping by for a snack at night. I still have to worry about the hawks during the day, so I will have responsible folk provide overwatch when they are outside.

Crows do an excellent job of driving away predators, but they like to eat eggs. I suppose it is a tradeoff.

Willow Manor Urban Farm will welcome these quackers and honkers with open arms and I just know you will love them as much as we do in person!

On the topic of love, thank you friend for sending me this. You brought tears to the eyes.

Well, I am off to find the blogworthy.

Perhaps I can work on a story while it is early and quiet. Special shoutout to Matt Snyder’s Short Story Saturday for reading my stories in complete epicness.
