Gearing Up For Departure After A Stroke

Hello, Benjamin from Brother’s Campfire here.

Today is the last full day at the hospital and so we prepare for new adventures and stories.

My beloved has a long road to recovery, and

we will be on a mission to aid her.

I say we, because so many of you have offered to purchase medical equipment, give cash donations, provided meals, given assistance with home care such as laundry, repairs, and installation of upgrades.

It is overwhelming to be enveloped in such love as kind words, encouragement, cards, and gifts as well. I know the best people in the world.

The most important part has been the thoughts and prayers. I appreciate that so much and believe God has heard them as evidenced by her hastened recovery.

Practicing For The Big Day Tomorrow

There are a few of you out there I call friend that have chosen another path than mine in terms of God. I am so touched by your responsiveness as well. I have so many emails to read and read again that are comforting and supportive.

Please know that I am incapable of reciprocating appropriately, but I am doing my best by thanking a few as I go along.

Adelheid is a fine example.

4 Years Ago, Adelheid had a catastrophic event occur and she is still recovering.

On September 19, 2017, I was hit by an 18-wheeler truck while crossing the pedestrian lane. I banged my head on the ground and crushed my hip which needed a replacement. After five months, I returned to work on a wheelchair. Two months later, I was using a walker (I can’t find my photo of […]

Adelheid has had a lot of rottenness and sorrow in her life and yet expended a lot of energy building up my family with encouragement.

She is selfless and needs such things herself. If you get a chance, cheer her on as well! 🤠🔥

You sound like the best kind of supportive spouse. And both of you seem so young, like you wouldn’t expect to be dealing with this. Well, life throws curve balls sometimes. Here’s to hoping and praying your wife makes new improvements every day.

Happy new year! I’m so glad to see that your wife is leaving the hospital and I hope she’ll continue to improve so well. Also, did you put up a donation link for the medical bills anywhere? I’ve been busy and haven’t had time to catch up with your blog much, but I’d love to contribute if you need some help. Most of our medical bills here are covered by the public health insurance

      Happy New Year!
I have not asked for any donations at the moment. This will be a long recovery and if necessary, I will ask.

Alright, don’t feel bad if you’ll have to. We never know where life will take us and one of the good things about this whole online global connectedness is that there’s so many of us connected now, that if we each give 5 euros it ends up being a huge amount and can really make a difference in an emergency.

Not to sound like an idiot, but are some of those photos blurred out because they highlight the effect of the stroke ?

It may be like posting a photo of your loved one when they just got up in the morning and posting it on social media.

Or my pesky camera needs cleaning.

Okay. Gotcha. Or as you stated in your recent post…secret missions (those of the mission impossible variety) garner the need for anonymity.
