Elon Musk, Uncommon Man, American

Hello, Benjamin from Brothers Campfire here!

I used to despise Elon Musk for no reason in particular. It seemed like the right thing to do at the time. Why? Who knows.

It was what the cool kids were hating on.

Well, I have never been a cool kid.

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla Motors and founder of The Boring Company, was born in Pretoria, South Africa, but is a fine example of what American means to me.

I say American in broad strokes.

Respect to Bluenosers, Bogtrotters, Cariboozers, Coasties, Downhomers, First Nations, Maritimers, Blue Eyed Arabs, and a big shout out to  Regina, Saskatchewan, the birthplace of Elon’s mother.

Elon Musk is a character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as…. Elon Musk.

In real life, he reminds me of Iron Man.

I will let you figure it out.

I suppose it takes an Iron Man to confront an Iron Curtain, A man of metal to mettle, that is if mettle can be a verb.

Recently, Elon Musk challenged the Balding Bear to a one-on-one combat challenge. That is wild west kind of talk.

My favorite.

While the duel will never happen, Elon Musk did what our child sniffing, terrorist gifting president cannot not seem to do;

Elon counted the cost, separated himself from the crowd and made a a stand. He is a man’s man, an American.

Yeah I’m not his biggest fan. I find him a bit pompous – he’s a bit rude – this is NOT a joke

While I do want and believe we should do more – at same time … I worry about World War III cause is not a joke. Very very serious.

And I don’t know Putin’s mental stability so is best to tread lightly at this moment

    I do understand the caution.

Is not something to joke about at all – people are dying and being hurt, losing their homes and life, being terrorized – he only say that to exploit the circumstances for his own gain and press

Because if he truly meant to help – put money where mouth is and don’t look for the attention.

Or if he wanna go one step further – go to Ukraine and help them fight – he wanna be all tough then ok go ahead … or supply them with the fighter jets they need – they need homes and supplies – is he doing that?

He didn’t do anything except say something for his own personal gain. He knew Putin would not even acknowledge. He wanted the press. Anyone can say words.

War is not a joke or anything to be exploited for personal gain

If he really means to help then do it and don’t look for recognition for it. Be serious

He just rubs me the wrong way. ✌️

But appreciate your perspective also ✌️ he’s just not my thing

    Sorry to speak badly

Thank you for your perspective on this. I imagine as there is merit to what you are saying in reference to his personal gain. 🤠🔥

I fully agree we have a weak president. Elon Musk should follow the First rule of Fight club and simply work quietly. I think Putin is going to wreck the Ukraine and go into Nato.

I feel he needs a good ole Regan rebuke and show of force.

I for one, like the idea of working quietly when we can!

The beauty of the Campfire is we can learn from each other!

The vast majority of people have their beliefs based on partisan lines, or their feelings which is why this country is in such bad shape….like try and find an example of Joe being rude or pompous (well, you don’t need examples, just feelings). It’s also why Joe Rogan and Russel Brand have taken off with such tremendous popularity because people who have 3 hours to listen to a podcast want to make their own mind up. Except, the vast majority of people don’t have that rime, so we have people angry at people because that’s what their side says you’re supposed to do and that’s unfortunate 🙁 (Trump helped create our massive polarization).

I liked Elon Musk’s offer of a duel. Someone has to stand up to the bully or other bullies will join him. If Putin takes Ukraine, how long before China is emboldened to take Taiwan?
And, yes, our country is divided and I know it has to be Trump’s fault. Everything in the country for the last two years is Trump’s fault even though we have a different person in office now. None of the problems were caused by Barry O’Bama and certainly not Joe.

As far as putting money where the mouth is, Musk has donated a TON of electronics and deployed several new satellites to help the people of Ukraine maintain communication and Internet. Hardly nothing. It’s hard to find that information if you use Google or Yahoo search engines, though.

I don’t know what to think about Musk. He has a great sense of humor, he’s brilliant and he seems to have some sort of moral underpinning. At the same time he’s made a ton of money by playing government contract games (not a huge fan) a lot of astronomers think that the way he’s launching satellites is very irresponsible, and he wants to put wires into our brains.

Also electric cars are an environmental disaster.

Where Elon comes from, people are rather tuff stuff. His people got Russia, Cuba and East Germany run faster than Geriatrix from 🇦🇫 . Pity people discriminate on opinion only. Opinion is just fiction, fakenews.
