Claire’s Oversized Pate

Hello! Benjamin from Brother’s Campfire here!

I forgot how much of a rush it is to work and write consistently!

It is like being creative under the gun. It requires a bit of mental agility and I have never been particularly gifted there.

When I was a kid, I was smaller than many of those in my age bracket. I was told I could run from fights.

I could Never run that fast and it was a problem. I had to stand and face what was coming, because it is hard to fight when you are out of breath and your legs used all that energy in futility.

So, I sit here half awake with a dark piping hot cup of joe flailing around in attempt to say a little something with meaning.

We have a pet rat named Claire. Claire gets up every morning with me and wants to play. She is chewing on the bars of her golden prison cell trying to get to me. I am a sucker for little critters and it is breaking my heart choosing to type instead of giving her something to do with her oversized cerebrum.

I am sorry Claire.

Isabel, my Beloved did all of her exercises and training yesterday with her mother. I believe this is the first time she had the energy for such an amazing accomplishment. I should have gone back to work sooner with results like that!

It was neat that we heard from Doctor Kitty Fallon, a mental health counselor from Santa Fe last night. She was receiving care at the same time as Isabel. Hello, Dr. Kitty, I hope you are getting on your feet as well!

Well, off to work!

Slow and steady wins the race. The rat looks like it has an ‘S’ or a serpent on its tummy. Take care. 🙂

Physical therapy is hard, but worth all the trouble. I’m glad you survived your first day back to work.

Charlee: “Our Mama and Dada used to have pet rats! They say they are smart and clean and friendly! This one rat named Feathers used to ride around on their shoulders and liked to crawl into shirt pockets to sleep.”
Chaplin: “We sure wish they still had rats so that we could be friends with them.”
Lulu: “And by ‘friends’ you mean sit and stare at for hours?”
    Chaplin: “Yes, probably …”

I am glad to se your wife, Isabel is doing well. What a darling baby. We used to have a horde of hamsters when my oldest was growing up. Our cat used to actively stalk them for hours on end in their cages.

She is go go go ! While I was at work she had a bunch of friends over. Sounds like they had a great time.

I like our little rat. She is inquisitive and sweet.
I had a car for a while, but had to give her away.
