Brothers Campfire Tries Chinese Takeout and Rifles

Hello, Benjamin from Brothers Campfire.

I am ever trying to improve the art of photography with my Cricket LG Android.

We stopped by Dragon King Chinese Restaurant yesterday and they had a top-notch spread. They also had a low key way of saying, “don’t even think about robbing us.”

Today, I tooke my Beloved to a physical therapy appointment. She likes a challenge, and she feels the one she had today was a little soft.

We moved on down the road to the Department of Motor Vehicles and applied for a handicap plate and a lost title for her Chrysler 300. Today has hit home hard the most since my Beloved had her stroke on December 2nd. (I had tried to avoid getting the plates. There is something looming, dark, and final about it.)

From the DMV, we went to Walmart and purchased grapes, raspberries, and flowers. My Beloved bought me a green Monster drink. It wasnt half bad, but I like the white one best.

I dropped my Beloved off at Goodwill and I dropped the car off for a tire rotation. We went to Subway after that and it was actually awful. There was nothing but bread. I was too tired to fight city hall over it.

My Beloved needed gardening gloves so we stopped at Big R. There, she saw Black Rifle Coffee and wanted to try it.

She likes it. I think it tastes like acid tea. I love the advertising, hate the product.

My Beloved is a former barista. She defined the acid taste as citrus. I define it as false advertising.

Well, that is all for now. I look forward to hearing from you in the comments.

I am with you on the acid coffee thing, it’s nasty but oh my goodness that Chinese food is literally making my stomach growl and I am drooling over the amount of cashews they put in there. Our place is great but they totally skimp on the cashews! I am totally getting screwed over here. I may have to have a word with them… 🤨

With God’s grace, nothing of ours is “final” (except maybe crappy coffee). I don’t think that particular f-word is in your wife’s vocabulary, either. ☺️👍

Well, the plates are only temporary and authorize nice spots that will be closer.
Normally not a big Chinese cuisine fan but I might go there just because of the sign!

Chinese cooking is my favorite to go to cooking. Glad you had a nice day out My take on the sub bread out here is not as good as in New England. I am glad your Beloved is doing so well. We drink Peets here. I didn’t care for Rifle coffee either.

I think Black Rifle is overpriced and overrated.

      I have not tried Peets.

I usually like Subway, but it was wretched this time around.

Chinese is good, but what we had is normally out of our budget range. It was a nice treat.

My Beloved is improving! We are all happy!

I always make Chinese at home. That is wonderful that you had a treat. I haven’t liked Boyers, or Roast theory either. One of my friends brought me mud water today, and that was just a No. Isn’t happy the best place to be.

The Chinese food sign is amusing. It certainly makes a statement! I’ve never heard of Rifle Coffee but the packaging and branding amuses me. I’m not a true connoisseur of coffee by any means -no idea if I would like this.

I hear you on the emotional hump of getting the handicap tag. I can definitely understand how that would be a difficult moment. ❤️

Black rifle coffee!!! I love their advertising. 😂 Too bad the coffee wasn’t very good. ☹️

I can feel you on the handicap plates. I’ve had to get permanent handicap placecards for two of my family members. And my oldest brother had to get a handicap van, a permanent handicap plate and have someone drive him everywhere after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. He is now almost completely paralyzed and desperate for healing.

Handicap plates and placecards are not something you want to have to apply for that’s for sure. It does seem final.

God is still in control though, and He will have the final say Benjamin. We will keep on believing. 🙏🏻

You are doing a fantastic job. Hang in there.

    {{Hugs}} for you both. 💕

I agree, the food is making me hungry too, it looks so good. I love Chinese food. Your intrepid beautiful wife is not finished making progress. It hasn’t even been a year and look what she has managed to accomplish.

I never understood why my Dad resisted using his handicap parking credential until my wife qualified for one.

I used to have a Disabled Driver sign for my car so I could park in handicapped parking spaces. I had a bad case of Systemic Scleroderma ,an auto immune disease, that affected all my joints. I had to walk with two canes. Then I got colorectal cancer and after the surgery to remove the tumor the Scleroderma began to go into remission. Now I have no symptoms at all. I have actually had medical specialists tell me it is miraculous. So…there is always a chance for an amazing recovery. I think your beloved will have one. That is what I shall pray for her to have.

I can relate to a couple of things in your message. I, too, have a disabled tag but uses it only when my neuropathy is extreme and my back pain keeps me from walking far. I make sure not to park long because there are so many worse off than me. Thanks for sharing your busy day with us. Glad your beloved is fairing well. Enjoy your day.

BTW, for some reason every time I visit your site I have to follow again.

As to the following, I am sorry this is happening. Are you on WordPress? Sometimes it does crazy things.

Don’t think getting a handicap permit is final. Your beloved is a strong person and will improve more over time. I like my coffee black with nothing in it except maybe a touch of cinnamon every now and then.
