Bernadine Pike 1930-2020

Benjamin from Brothers Campfire here.

Two years ago yesterday, Bernadine Pike, my grandmother passed away on her 90th birthday. Other than God, it was her I spoke to most. She spoke with her eyes and said little, but we were close.

Bernadine Pike

We visited her gravesite today. The headstone was recently set in place.

We miss her.

I I’m sorry your grandmother no longer graces this earth. Grandparents are special….especially to a child. Both my grandfathers were mean alcoholics and passed when I was young, but my grandmothers, though very different individuals, were very special to me. I loved them dearly, and still miss them after all these many years.
I regularly visit my parents’ graves and they have been gone a long time too. Where they are buried, I have many, many relatives resting there as well, dating back to the early 1800s. I feel a connection when I walk out among their headstones.

❤ Will I ever reach past 70? Being 90 is such a blessing in itself! Much love!
