Hello, Benjamin from Brothers Campfire here!
While the medical and insurance industries are a huge concern in the United States, I will have to say that Cigna and UCHealth have done us well overall in treatment and bill pay.
Yesterday, we got caught up on medical bills and are moving forward to make new ones.
My Beloved has worked diligently to follow her treatment plan and has researched additional therapy with excellent results. While not fully recovered, she can do most day to day activities besides doing her own hair.
In other news, Trumpet, my goose is not doing well. She is having trouble standing and getting to food and water. She has no visible injuries and her heart rate does not go up when I apply pressure to her hips and legs. The elevated heart rate is how I determine if a bird hurts. Sometimes they make noise if something hurts, but that is not always the case.
We thought she may be egg bound and let her soak in warm bathtub water and Epson salt, but that is not the case . (Don’t ask.✌️ )
Every morning, we have been putting her in the water and leaving food at the edge, and she seems to do ok there.
Veterinary bills are stupid expensive, especially for birds. Because they will likely milk me of my cash, I will just wait it out and keep it simple.
I consulted an old time doctor and concluded that yard birds need to be with their friends. Hopefully, she pulls through.
May all good things come to you and yours!
And May the Fourth Be With You 😄
Thank you! May the Fourth be with you as well!
Glad your wife continues to improve. Sorry that your duck is not feeling well. Avian flu is in our area. One of the inmates at the jail contracted Avian flu.
It is possible.
Yup avain flu. This world is a wreck

I hope Trumpet will bounce back.
Me as well!
