Brothers Campfire Makes Peace With Putin

Hello, Benjamin from Brother’s Campfire here!

Today is a new adventure and who can tell what it will bring!

I spoke of adjusting sails in the wind recently. Indeed, there are a few adjustments to be made! This is me, trying to navigate the many choices of hand lotion.

My choice was ultimately wrong and accidentally purchased body wash. Ah well.

See, my daughter sent me on a shopping trip and I have no clue what I am doing. Here is the list.

What…. Pray tell.. Is almond bark? After 3 stores I found it, but in 38 years 7 months and 26 days of living, I have done ok without it. ….. Or have I?

I am not sure to be honest. Uncharted waters.

What is a sure thing is Natasha, my neighbor. She hails from Russia, Moscow if I am not mistaken. She baked us two of the best pies that have ever been baked in the Northern Hemisphere.

In fact, it is as Russian as apple pie can get. In Russia, the apples core and peel you.

This delivery touched our family and possibly infuriated others. Who, you ask?

Why the president of Russia. He eats Natasha’s desserts all the time. (Or so I hear)

Have you ever had a world leader expecting a delicious delicacy and then have to eat pop top vanilla pudding? It is that good.

Владимир Путин президент России

Sorry sir, I kind of put her on the spot. We are grateful for the apple pie. My wife is in the hospital. I hope you will understand.

Your wife looks so better 🌷🙏👍🏻 you buy one small ball and give her , one hand to other hand want to hold ,
and continue to do 10-15 minutes play !! If she did means the two hands blood circulation will be slowly ok
and her two hands will be active !! I saw my friend doing this exercise, can try it 👌🌷Take care ,grace wishes 👏

I can easily see how one could accidentally purchase body wash rather than lotion. They don’t make it easy. I’ve never understood why almond bark is called “almond bark,” and not simply, “chocolate” or “white chocolate.” What I do know, however, is that your life will never be the same after discovering it. It’s pretty amazing stuff, and people have made some incredible sweet treats with it. My favorite is either peppermint bark or pretzels covered with the stuff.

Prayers continuing for your sweet wife, my brother. My heart hurts for you, and I feel that you are hurting much more than you let on, here. But I also feel that your joy is unfazed. It seems you have a firm grip on Isaiah 41:10. <3

Thank you, Jeff! I appreciate your words of encouragement!

I consider myself a pretty good cook, but an ok baker. It is always fun working with new materials!

As for all those products, well… I have some learnin to do. 🤠🔥

Huh… learned something new. Around here, it’s not almond bark till melted, adding almonds, speading, cooling, and breaking into candy snacks. In the state you got, it’s “white chocolate”. Still a misnomer since it contains no cocoa, only the fat.

It’s alright. People always feel bad that I’m alone but I get EXTREME joy each time they talk of the stress of shopping, driving, crowds, family, etc and think “I don’t have to deal with ANY of that. I’m gonna take a nap with my cats!”

I had some plans yesterday but traffic was horrible so I simply changed my mind at went home. So nice!!

Being home seems best many times, Bubbles. The hustle and bustle is a lot for me to handle.

Even when I had a social circle, I put an end to presents… donations to charity or nothing! We all had enough “stuff”.

If there must be gift exchange, I support it being on NYE… less stress + discount pricing!!

          4. Benjamin says:

Absolutely. November 1 is the time to buy candy and discount pumpkin.

2nd note… a mix of cranberry pieces, chopped pistachios and other nuts is a DELICIOUS white chocolate bark!!

Hmmm…. I will have to try that sometime! When are you coming to visit the Campfire?

Lol… virtually, all the time. Physically, it will be quite awhile before I travel… who’s gonna tend to a cat clowder as large as mine?? This morn I saw an article about 52 cats being rescued from a hoarder and had a brief fear of that being my future! Fortunately, most of “mine” live outdoors and over half live elsewhere… only showing up for dinner.

Your beloved looks really good in the photo. Is she able to communicate?

          2. Benjamin says:

Cats are adorable. I like them more than dogs. I am an introvert at heart, so that may have something to do with it.

She can communicates pretty well. She is unable to use a lot of her body.

          3. leendadll says:

That must be so frustrating for her! I hope she has a surprise burst of returned use!

Your daughter has a great shopping list. I love Dad’s expression. It’s priceless! You should make a meme out of your darling picture in tribute to your daughter. ♥️ As far as Putin, the only thing I know about him is what I have read on Twitter and seen on Tic Toc. Did you see that digital cartoon video of him where he is dancing? The lyrics are quite catchy. Hahaha!

Perhaps I willake a meme, lol. I don’t know anything about Putin, but I will shamelessly reach for a Russian click by writing something in Russian.
