Brothers Campfire Puking Peasant Inn -An Ongoing Tale Chapter 114

The Alchemist smiled warmly at Galvin the Bard as he left the palace. “You were such a good fool during the siege. Do come again!”

There was very little evidence to convict the Alchemist of treason or wrongdoing.

Galvin shrugged and smiled back.

“Your quip was sharp but too fast,

“Time will see whose laugh is last.”

Galvin strolled to the docks and stepped into the Puking Peasant Inn. He tuned the strange Instrument given him by the Heron and sang.

The Docks

“Perhaps is long, and much too late,

“The tale be told of Rainport’s fate.

“Beast he took the life of evil son,

“Rainport beware when Brother is done.

“Alchemist, be King’s retainer.

“Words restrain stocks a defamer.”

The men in the pub were dark and swarthy, men of the sea.

A sailor chimed,

“Bard, we care not about local politic,

“Sing of adventure, lest we be sick.”

Galvin smiled,

:A sailor, sir, quite clever,

“Adventure, you will weather.

“You will drink and have your fill.

“Soon you sail with Admiral Gryll.

“His crew fierce, cutlass sharp,

“Sail out of harbor no longer park.

“If you wait to sail, you may survive,

“His men have left last sunrise.

“I see the wild in your faces,

“Sailed the world in all places

“No man you fear on the sea

“Let me tell what troubles thee.

“Has eight legs and does deliver

“Shake your boat and shatter your timber

“Beak of iron fast and intelligent,

“Will scare young man from belligerent.

“He lurks, south of harbor safety,

“Be alert, don’t be hasty.

“He will consume you feet first,

“You will not drown, expect the worse.

“A man should shake like jiggly jelly

“Land you soon in Kraken’s belly.”

The sailors cheered and Galvin bowed. The Screaming Peaches made the potential proselike poem prosperous at the Puking Peasant. Galvin the Bard was back in business.

    1. Benjamin says:

It would seem. He shed the ridiculous costume the king had him wear during the siege as soon as he could. Dress codes can be a blessing and a curse.
