Brothers Campfire on The Memory Of A Man Of Character

Hello, Benjamin from Brother’s Campfire here!

Grandpa always used to say if you pout, a little birdy will come and poop on your lip. Well, I was pouting on Friday and a little birdy flew by and pooped on my fresh shirt.

I will attempt to keep a little more positivity moving forward!

May 1st would have been his 95th birthday. From all I remember, he was a kind and gentle man much like my father.

I am not sure what happened to me as I am neither very kind or gentle. It must have skipped a generation as my daughter is all over these qualities.

I suppose there is a maybe a little kindness under my rough exterior, but I think he passed on hard work and consistency to me. Every time I visited Wisconsin, he was mowing lawns and pitching newspapers.

I carry his wallet, one of the few tangible things he left. It makes me stand a little taller when I put it in my pocket.

It is unique how one man makes a mark on the world and he is dearly missed.

Aha I must check with my daughter to see if she was pouting when the seagull pooped on her head. 😜 She had just washed her hair and as it is very long she was sitting outside to dry it.
It is wonderful to be able to remember one’s loved ones with fondness. Your grandpa will always be with you in your thoughts and actions.

I had never heard your Grandfather’s saying. It made me laugh. What a good memory – even if not a pleasant way of reminding. We don’t ever quit missing our grandparents or parents. But those memories are precious.

Perfect timing! I am sure you did not think so at the time. That happened to me one time when I was out on the ocean. Seagulls make a mess! I can laugh now. 😂

You are actually respectful and kind ❤️✌️

You just being modest – you the same. Just ya know stronger cause is 2021 lol ✌️ you have to be – different world

I only know you to be kind lol … unless you are scary and mean in person?? But I do not see any evidence of that lol ❤️😘

Those memories are so dear ❤️ moments in life are like chapters. In your mind you can read them again and again – but you always miss those actual moments ❤️💔 they engrained ❤️

        Definitely have strength 💪

Just miss the comfort of having them – that is a hole 🕳 left behind little 💔 only if I think of it. Which is hard still

But I also created my own with other people lol ❤️

I am comforted with the people who are close to my life ❤️ I make sure to cherish them because in one second I could lose them or could be me.
